I purchased this computer for my son. After reviewing various gaming computers we settled on this MSI. My nephew has one (1 yr older) and was very happy and we are also very happy with this year's (2015) model GE72. Wish windows 10 was more user friendly or at least more similar to windows 7. Computer came with Windows 8 but thank God that it came with a free update to Windows 10. This is not MSI's fault but Windows 10 is at least better than 8. The computer itself is very fast (faster with 10). Overall, my son and me recommend this computer both on features and price. Regular price was approx. $1100 but we got it on sale at $899

This was purchased as a replacement for my second Dell laptop. It's my first non-Dell computer and as of right now I couldn't be happier! This computer is beautiful! It's got a sleek look and is actually lighter than you might think. My old laptop was just as heavy if not heavier and it was by no means a "gaming" computer. I did some research on this one both on and off the best buy website and while there were a few negative reviews overall I was impressed. Now to address the actual computer. I immediately updated to Windows 10 as Windows 8 scared me. While the update took around 3 hours it was well worth it and the computer runs fine with it. I did not lose sound with the upgrade as some people reported. (Although I did with my old one). The keyboard is a little weird but I like the feel of the keys. it's very soft touch so there is no clicking sound when you type. The font is very updated and takes a minute to get used to but I like it. The touch pad is good although the buttons are very loud when clicked. So far I've been using this on my lap and while it's a little warm it's nothing I'm uncomfortable with even during the update. I imagine it will get warming during game play but overall I'm really happy with this purchase so far.

Bought this computer for my daughter for Christmas because she is very much into gaming. So far she has loved it! Have to admit I am not a gamer so I was lost when she asked for a gaming laptop so I did my homework and read a lot of reviews online on top gaming computers and decided on this one after several weeks of looking and so far it has not disappointed. Very satisfied with my choice.

Computer restarts itself a lot, not sure what that's about, but in general pleased with the size of hard drive and speed of processor. I also enjoy the quality of the graphics.

So I received this laptop today after ordering it online last week. Spec wise, this laptop is excellent! I love the design and the size of it. Even though it is 17" it is not as heavy as you'd expect. One thing you must be aware of though is the pictures advertised on this site. Best buy shows that the laptop you will receive has the colored LED keyboards lights, but that is not the case. The official MSI site shows that it comes in regular white, which is what you'll get. Though it's disappointing that it doesn't come with this feature, it's not a deal breaker for me as I paid the price for the high end specs. Beware of the fingerprints too, though I can easily get rid of that with a soft cloth.

Pros- great gaming laptop (while plugged in) -its quick and pretty thin for a gaming laptop -cool steelseries keyboard -cool sleek design Cons- the battery while unplugged lasts for 1 hour, 90min tops absolutely terrible on battery. -the trackpad is horrible the clicking is super loud -charger gets hotter than lava. I got this laptop for $940 with tax . It's perfect for gaming on a desk where u can have it plugged in . For the price its not a bad deal actually a pretty good deal , the trackpad is not so good I use a mouse though so it doesn't matter.the speakers are nice it has a little subwoofer,pretty neat.awesome keyboard there's 3 different lighting settings brighter or darker . The fans are fairly quite although if you turn on the fan button they are quite loud.it's an Msi laptop ,it's gonna last you for a while I put 4 stars mainly because I think they could've done better on the battery, I mean 1 hour while watching Netflix ....overall it's a great budget gaming laptop.

I bought this laptop for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it but it does NOT have the multi color changing keyboard that is suggested on this website. That was one of the main reasons I went with this one and not another computer. I think everyone should be aware of that going in. There have also been a number of minor difficulties from upgrading to Windows 10 from the original OS. The touch pad would not scroll up or down and the Nahimic sound system sounded dreadful until my daughter was able to download the correct drivers and change settings. If she was not tech savy, this computer would have been returned!
