Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent performance and effective cooling system of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio graphics card, leading to high frame rates ideal for 4K gaming and ray tracing. Many appreciate the visually appealing RGB lighting, but some find the card's large size a drawback. The high cost is another frequently cited concern.

    TLDR: Great Performance, Poor Reliability

This card right out of the box offered no problems. I was impressed by its design and looks as I Installed it into my new gaming pc. This time I around I told my self I deserved the best! When the card was working fine it was more than a match for my Acer X34, driving the monitor to heights my old 980 Ti only dreamed of. But then everything came crashing down not more than 2 days after install. After one reboot of the PC after a Battlefield 5 crash, nothing to do with the card, I see nothing but purple "space Invader" like artifacts all over my screen. I am a pretty technical guy with decent googling skills but all attempts to fix the issue have ended in failure. I am not one to easily RMA a product but after a week of attempts I have finally given up. Just sucks having to go through the whole process. I would hold off on these cards till they become a bit more reliable. Now I am afraid I have backed a bad horse and even when I get my replacement all I can think about is when will it happen again. Not a fun feeling when you put a 1400 dollar car in a PC that will be my main gaming workhorse for beyond the 3 years of the factory warranty. I would give this card 5 stars for performance but my rating will have to be 1 start because I was always taught growing up, you are only as strong as your weakest link and in this case its reliability.

If you have the money, this is definitely the easiest option you can go. But also note that, if you're gaming at 4k, don't expect all ultra with even the 2080ti for some games, e. g. Borderlands, and of course Red Dead Redemption II.

Works excellently with great temperatures! Only complaint is that the smallest fan will sometimes be audible/whine when the fans do spin up.

Handles every game on ultra settings easily. 144hz gaming at 1440p is a walk in the park for this graphics card

    The Godzilla of video cards

For starters, this card is a size monster. At just under 13 inches long, 5.5 inches deep, and 2.5 PCIe slots, It also requires 3 power connections 8/8/6, making it look almost like a 24pin motherboard cable. expect this to take up your case. It fits nicely in my Corsair 1000D. Performance wise, this is a single card ready to handle 4K/60 with high/ultra settings, all on its own. For reference to what I'm running this on... Asus Rampage VI Extreme i9 7900X (no overclocking) 64GB 3200MHz C16 DDR4 RAM MSI RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio (no additional overclocking) - Final Fantasy XV ran at 4K/60fps with minimal drops on the highest settings with only AA, VXAO, and ShadowLibs disabled. Enabling VXAO and ShadowLibs took it down into the 45 to 55fps range with drops to 30fps in battles, which is still playable if you're not bothered by less than 60fps performance. Running the benchmark, I scored 6376, just over 5% higher than the standard RTX 2080 Ti listed. - Shadow of the Tomb Raider on ultra settings with HDR and AA disabled ran an average of 61fps at 4K/HDR, with a low of 52fps and a high of 95fps. - Because why not, I ran Sleeping Dogs (Definitive Edition) on ultra (extreme) settings. With AA on extreme, the game ran an average of 50fps, with a low of 30, and highs in the low 60s. Turning AA down to normal, the average went up to 87fps with a low of 59. - And lastly, I threw a fan favorite at it... Batman: Arkham Knight. Can you taste the sarcasm? At 4K on ultra settings with only AA disabled, Arkham Knight ran a lovely average of 80fps with a high of 108. The lowest minimum I saw was 58fps despite the screenshot showing 33. This benchmark chokes at the very start coming out of the loading screen. If you're using anything less than 4K/60, this card will handle whatever you throw at it. Tested several games on my Asus 34" ultrawide @ 3440x1440 with AA turned up, and it obliterated everything. The card idled or of the box around 45C, so maybe you've heard complaints about heat. Fans don't spin up until these cards start to get hot, so I installed MSI Afterburner to setup a custom fan profile. Idles now around 30C. In my testing, I never saw temps go much higher than 65C. According to MSI Afterburner, I was reaching a boost clock of 1995. Note that the RTX GEFORCE on the side of the card doesn't have LED lighting and makes it look a bit broken with the rest of the RGB around it. Waiting on a second one to enable NVLink, but after all the 4K testing, I'm thinking maybe I should cancel it or stick it in my X99 system that has 2 Asus 1080 cards. The price is high, but the results speak for themselves. I'm coming from 1080 SLI which handled my 3440x1440 gaming, sometimes with AA, sometimes without. The RTX 2080 Ti feels like a perfect single card solution for this resolution. 4k/60 will require some settings being turned off, like AA, but that's expected. If you're looking for 3440x1440 or 4k gaming, this card is for you. If you're gaming on anything less, this will obliterate everything you throw at it with the highest frame rates.

I got this card because its the best graphics card you can get right now for 4k gaming. I have this paired with a 4k Asus PG27UQ Monitior and it runs very well. I would recommend this card if your looking for the best 4k gaming card.

MSI gaming x Trio is the best RTX 2080 Ti. It even comes with a support bracket so that your GPU won't sag over time. To me personally, It looks better than any of the AIBs. The quality is premium as well.

Disappointing as this graphics card only lasted about 24 days. If i wasn't an elite member this would have been a big problem. Don't risk the buy. I've done research after this happened and there is problems with these cards by msi. Not everyone but a lot including me. I used the card just for gaming didn't even tamper with overclocking it and it would lock up as i tried to game. Don't waste your money, i was luckily able to exchange this item for the founders edition and so far having zero problems with that one.
