I've been looking for a laptop that can handle 4K editing, but didn't want to have to change to an Apple computer. Not only is this laptop up to par, it surpasses any apple computer in its category. I'm not a gamer, so I can't really speak on that. The 4K video display is amazing.
Only flaws: same thing everyone's been talking about. Some apps or Web pages lettering come out looking smaller because they can't handle the 4K resolution. It doesn't happen enough to bother me so much.

This computer meets my needs with a couple of minor things that I don`t like. First I`m new to windows 10 so still not sure that I like that. But the most obvious drawback is this only has two usb ports. I use more than that so I had to purchase a hub so that I can run everything I need to. Other than that it`s great.

When it comes to the mobile PC market, there are a lot of things to consider and a lot of things to compromise at times. This bad boy has an amazing balance of processing power, graphics, and accessories. The 6th gen i7 is an amazing step in processing, but in all honesty, if you've never needed such power, you wouldn't notice the difference. The SSD and 16 Gb of RAM combo will ruin most other laptop experiences for you. This combo is lightning fast and, boy, is it nice.
The 4k 60hz screen is the nicest thing I've seen on a laptop to date. The one downside is that not everything you use will not have settings for 4k and you will notice how small things really are. The keyboard is as fancy as it gets too. You may not be a fan of the lighting, but it is nice aside from that. It has a smooth mechanical feel to it that gives you appropriate feed back as you type. The num pad was a deal breaker for me and the fact that it had one was a major reason I got this laptop. The mouse-pad is responsive and intuitive as well. The USB type-C is an amazing outlet, but it will require an adapter for most things. The speakers have a very interesting sound. I cannot say theyre bad, but they do, or try to at least, do a 3D effect when they are used. I can honestly say that my only beef with the physical aspects of the laptop is the location of the power input (right side). It is kind of close to the USB one and makes it difficult to unplug something next to it without thinking you're unplugging the power too.
Things to remember. This is a laptop running a big processor and a big graphics card. On idle (not gaming or pushing these components) you may get a couple of hours of battery life. I had a record 23 minutes playing a game on battery life. If you are expecting to use this on your lap, when both its cooling fans turn on, the computer will get hot, too hot to keep on your lap (at least for me). Just a heads up. Also, the screen is 15" but since it includes a num pad, the screen has about an inch frame around it, while this doesn't affect its aesthetics, it does make it not fit most 15" sleeves, I had to try 3 out before I found one that fit.
Overall an amazing laptop and in my opinion the best thing you can get before you start getting into the "portable desktop" category, or a full on desktop.

Full power in a slim form factor

My usual go-to systems for laptops are Sagers, but I wanted something with an easier to carry profile like an Ultrabook that was capable for gaming (specifically for the upcoming Fallout 4). The MSI GS-60 Ghost fit the bill, being remarkably light and small in form factor yet providing great performance for gaming with the GTX970M and the newest, more efficient, 6th generation i7 processor, allowing it to play games at a slightly cooler temperatures than previous higher TDP processors to avoid the system from throttling performance. This latest version of the GS60 Pro also improves the 4k monitor to being capable of 60hz frame refresh, though no mobile GPU is really going to allow gaming at full 4k resolution with that kind of frame rate.
The build quality is excellent and the machine is aesthetically pleasing in all but one aspect: The MSI gamer logo on the lid is a bit out of place on such a professional looking computer. The only other feature I wish this laptop had is that it came with a GTX980M, which would likely be impractical due to this Ghost's slim form factor; it would be difficult to physically fit such a card in the machine while dealing with getting rid of the waste heat from such a beastly GPU.
