    FULL 1 YEAR REVIEW

Great Computer runs all games like they should, however, make sure to run your games and everything else on extreme performance while plugged in to get the maximum performance. If you run too high a resolution per the display, you will experience gpu bottlenecking. Great system with high hertz and refresh rate for warzone 2.0 I can maintain 112-137fps only because the game itself is very gpu heavy however older cods run great like cold war 187-234fps and mw2019 146-174fps on extreme performance plus boost. also make sure to keep everything updated that's super important (you may also have to alter some settings dependent on the game!) runs cool for hours considering it is a laptop warzone 63-70 degrees keep backend elevated and fans on high. fans do get a little bit loud but bearable.

    Two years and no issues!

I've had this laptop for 2 years now and thought it was time to review it. Yeah, it runs hot and the MSI tools can get in the way (remove the bloatware you don't want) and it can be as loud as a leaf blower when all the fans come on. That being said, it runs 4 virtual machines and 2 graphic intensive weather monitoring programs with no issue for the 8-16hours a day it's running. I keep the laptop on a open center cooling pad always. Other than it being heavy and the fans waking the neighbors, I can't complain. Paired with the dual Samsung T55 27" monitors it's done the job reliably for 2 years. For gaming laptops, cooling is always the key and knowing the right cooling pad for the fan intake is a must.

Good laptop worst build quality and service

Good laptop that worked flawlessly for 7 months and then started having issues after issues and the msi service is very poor as you have to ship it to california and then wait for them to repair and ship it back to now. I have sent the laptop to california 3 times in the past 2 months and had to wait 2-3 weeks for it to show up with a different issue than the first time. Replaced fan the first time then LCD display failed and now the CPU fan is not working . Fed up with this company just get an alienware. Not worth the price (bought it for 1699) .

Good laptop, but not for long

I had this laptop for a little over a year now- it ran just fine, handled games extremely well, and i loved this laptop. Just a fair warning to anyone- the DC jack broke and ended up being a motherboard issue, which is very pricy to repair. Even if it were just the DC jack, the repairs wouldve been pricy and a pain to disassemble and reassemble, so either way, if something breaks just expect to throw a few hundred towards fixing it

Great specs for the price but had display issue right from the start. Worked for almost a year then the motherboard bricked. Look elsewhere.

While working this laptop is great, till it isn't. Less than 2 years old and the keyboard is failing. 5 keys and adding aren't reliably working (most times not working). The keyboard is a very expensive replacement as the keyboard itself is not replaceable (to the tune of $500+ if you do it yourself). The entire top frame w/keyboard has to be replaced. Googling the problem it seems to be pretty common for the GS66. Buyer beware...
