I've had Msi before with the GT70. When I turned it in after an accident I received the option to choose my replacement. The dominator is awesome. Alienware is overrated and the specs are higher for the same priced Asus ROG. Msi is geared towards gaming. This laptop is a really great for the price. There are 4 M.2 slots in this laptop as well as 4 ram slots. 1 sata m.2 and 3 pci express slots. Save the 300 bucks with this product o er buying the 1899 versiln and just add a samsung m.2 solid state drive into a pcie slot. Saved money and gave me 256 gb instead of 128gb. This laptop is beautiful, powerful and it doesnt void your warranty to upgrade it with ram or solid states. Remember to just go by MSI's website and make sure all your drivers are up to date and your golden. Battery life is pretty average for a 17inch powerhouse but it has great ventilation and has kept cool during gaming. It is also slimmer than my old version. Button placement are nice, keyboard buttons are quality, and the lid has a solid hinge and it opens like butter. This model doesn't have blue ray but it wasn't worth it for me. Hopefully I was helpful but I personally am in love with this computer as I was the almost 3 years of my previous MSI. It only died because of an accident!

I've always had desktops, and they weren't good at gaming. All of them had horrible graphics cards and processors. I could only play The Sims 2-3 and it was frustrating. This MSI is my first true gaming computer, and it is a beast. I can run Rise of the Tomb Raider on High with no issues whatsoever. I also use it for my graphic arts work, running Photoshop, inDesign, Steam, and even a web browser at the same time without hiccups. Even the keys light up whatever color combination that you choose. Seriously, an amazing laptop. Battery dies quickly, but I have my battery saver turned off so I can reach the best FPS. It's truly a worthwhile buy. Get it. Seriously. Certainly better than the Alienware BestBuy is selling. The 16 GB of ram is great, and the graphics card can handle just about anything I've thrown at it so far. Highly recommended.

Bought this laptop for my wife when her Macbook died, she has loved it so far and it has been doing everything that she has wanted and more, we are both into a lot of different games and it has been handling them very well so far.
