I've read the reviews and compared to the available laptops in my area. I finally decided on this laptop base on the following: Pros: *Cost: It was in my budget and was $100 off (on SALE when I bought it)! *Screen: 15.6" screen. It's the perfect balance between 13.3" & 17" screen. 13.3 is tiny, and the 17" is just too big for mobility. *Storage: 512GB M.2 SSD. This is plenty of space for on the go storage. *Light: It's very light! The specs say about 3.5 lbs! Cons: *Build quality: Because it's so light, there were some corners cut and it affects the quality. When I rest my palms, I can feel the whole unit flex. I'm afraid, it might not handle daily use. (Knock on wood) * Windows Update took FOREVER!! This is even with the dongle connected to the Ethernet cable. *Battery life: When fully charged, windows report that it's only at 92%. Right out the box! This laptop is going to be used for school. Hopefully it will meet my needs. Longevity is a MUST because I don't always have access to wall plug.

Superior product for the price. I purchased this on sale for 600. It’s a steal. I’m an avid computer user and very demanding of my technology! This laptop is beyond a doubt the best system for the price for me. It’s modern well built and performance driven. Starts up quickly. No lag! Would buy again!

I bought another brand at about the same price that I was not happy with and took it back after just a few days. I picked up the MSI and this machine is awesome. Screen is great keyboard is great I like the backlight capability. Battery life is as good as my old Chromebooks which is shocking for a Windows PC. Powerful enough for some very light gaming. If you like having lots of apps open or are doing like gaming I would suggest adding some additional RAM for a few bucks. I'm a pretty big critic when it comes to technology but this is one of the better purchases I've made in years. I have had MSI graphics cards and motherboards and have always been happy. So I'm not surprised that this computer has been a great purchase.

Picked this up on sale for $500 and at that price it couldn't be beat. It lacks USB-C charging, a 10-key pad, and it has older specs (comet lake cpu and wifi 5/AC) but that's to be expected at this price point. I like that it has a backlit keyboard that can get crazy bright, it's fairly light at close to 3-1/2 pounds, and that both the SSD and Ram are upgradeable. If your budget minded, this one is a good contender at or below $600 in my opinion.

This is a great laptop for the price, I got it on sale which was fantastic. Battery life is good, it’s easy to set up. I’m using it for class, so I wasn’t bothered by the lack of separate graphics card.

This computer is excellent. Since MSI is a gaming company, I did not expect this laptop to be bad. If you are looking at an HP right now in another tab...quit that. Get this one. The computer is capable of running with an insane amount of tabs open. The backlit keyboard is beautiful but able to be turned on and off. The screen resolution is immaculate...Although this computer is not built for heavy gaming, it does hold up to the Sims 4 well, with mods and all. This says a lot about the quality of this computer, believe me. I highly suggest that this be bought by anyone looking for good working, expandable, and affordable options. ESPECIALLY if on sale. NOT ONLY DID I RECOMMEND THIS TO A FRIEND, I CONVINCED MY FRIEND TO BUY ONE AND NOW WE HAVE MATCHING COMPUTERS!

For the price $600 this is a great laptop that fit all my requirements. Keyboard without a number pad, light, able to upgrade RAM and Hard drive on your own and a surprisingly quick i5 chip. The screen was really quite good as well and didn't cause me eyestrain like most of the other laptops at this price range. Really can't go wrong. Had the laptop for about 3 weeks and everything is going well.

I'm 72 years old...a retired IT and Network specialists...and have used nothing but Dell laptops for 30 years. I bought this on sale at Christmas for 2/3 the price of an equivalent Dell on sale at the same time and I am very pleased with the MSI unit. I use it daily for normal office tasks, email, calendar, web browsing, stock ticker, and watching videos and it is as good as any Dell I have had. It boots quickly and shuts down quickly, and the Solid State Drive makes accessing programs and data very fast. I have no regrets for saving $200 and purchasing the MSI Modern 15.

A couple of years later and this laptop is still going strong. I use it to play Sims 4, no problems at all!

Ordered it for a friend. I was surprised at the weight of the device. It is extremely lightweight and well built. My friend does only use it for works (emails, work processing, and browsing) and has no complains. The price was also great. Although the device is marketed towards the creators, I doubt it can handle graphics intensive tasks at the configuration of this purchase.

Great laptop. Runs pretty quickly with the 10th Gen I5. Speakers are on the bottom of laptop as many are these days, gets pretty loud though. Does have a built in white keyboard light that has 3 adjustable settings and even at the dimmest setting it is still bright. Keyboard is spacious and enables easy typing. Even though a 10-key is not included, the large keys are a plus for easy key travel. Great build with the aluminum feel and is also sadly a fingerprint magnet. So if you clean your laptop often then it should be no problem. And NO, I do not recommend using laptop for gaming because there is no discrete graphics card.

Nice build quality, feels solid. Lighted keyboard highly visible. Only slight negative is inclusion of power button into keyboard layout, but can be mitigated by changing default behavior of power button so you don't accidentally lose work. Performance is excellent, task switching is responsive, and cooling fan is not intrusive. Battery life is as advertised...maybe a little better given I'm running it pretty hard.

Purchased this laptop for my wife. It is very fast and light weight. This is my first time buying an MSI and my first time buying a windows laptop in a while (Mac user here.). I will say that for the price this laptop is excellent with amazing specs. If you can get it on sale like I did. Then it’s really worth the price.

Solid laptop, great specs for the price. 10th gen i5, 8GB RAM, and a 512GB NVMe SSD. Screen is sharp and clear, keyboard backlight is nice and even. Many features and build quality not seen at this price point. A little strange that there is no 10-key for a business laptop, but the keyboard is slightly larger and better due to giving it up. Webcam also isn't the best, but it's good enough.

This is the best laptop for the price. I was trying to You can't go wrong with this laptop. I have been using it for months without a problem. But I would pick up the geek squad since this is a pretty expensive product. The keyboard is very comfy. The mouse pad is very solid too. Better than most laptop out there. You feel premium with this laptop

I purchased this laptop back in 2021, and I have to say this is the best laptop I’ve ever owned. I’ve used it for college, I’ve used it for recording audio, I’ve used it for coding and it has done a great job in all categories. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for their next laptop.

This laptop is a very good buy at the price point. It is very fast and so far problem free. The only issue I have with it is that it does not have a numbers pad. Had I known that I would have looked for a laptop with an Intel core 5 processor and 512 SSD drive. The only ones I have seen close to this price is ASUS but our experience with that brand has not been good.

I love this laptop. I wasn't even looking at this model but the sales guy asked me some questions and that was the end of the story. This laptop is so light. I love the design and simplicity of it! It fits into what I needed and I would purchase this brand again.

Great value to performance, quality, and upgradeability. I added 2x16GB RAM @ 2666 Mhz and 2x500GB MVE SSDs with ease. With the advanced BIOS there are ways to undervolt and overclock things but I haven’t find the sweet spot for those settings. YouTube has some great tear down videos to help you navigate the motherboard. It comes with some neat creative software for video and audio. Just recently I had a Teams meeting and was hearing some static in the background when I would speak. After fiddling with the Nahmic audio settings the software was able to surpress the noise which was pretty cool. So far I am using this laptop for light gaming and programming. So far so good. My biggest complaint though about the laptop is that it smudges easily. If you even look at it, fingerprints will materialize on it. Price was $499.99 at time of purchase.

This is a great PC! Graphics, RAM, and CPU speed are excellent. It can be used for lite gaming as well as doing homework. I originally was going to buy another $250 PC just for playing a certain game, but I decided to go the extra mile and buy this one. I'm glad I did. I highly recommend it.
