Boots up and shuts down extremely fast due to the SSD drive. For me, the keyboard took a little time to get used to because the keys are a little bigger than ones found on laptops with numeric keypads. A minor issue that shouldn't be construed as a complaint.

In the end I think we made a great choice, I also have an MSI so even when you can find other laptops with somewhat better specs, this one doesn't sacrifice on quality at all. Also, the display looks sharp, vivid, and simply great. If you're looking for a laptop that will last you for at least another 5 years, this is it for sure

Works excellent for school and gaming (Roblox, Minecraft) and she is beginning toe experiment with content creation and the MSI has stepped up to each of the tasks with ease. The screen delivers rich, vibrant colors and great graphics. I'd recommend this as an entry level gamer and content creator, any day.

Replaced a 10 year old Gateway laptop. Thin design and amazingly fast SSD make this a solid performer. Amazed at the quality and speed compared to my old computer. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for fast performance with a backlit keyboard and crisp monitor. An incredible value from MSI!

I Love It!

I think my favorite feature is the light-up keys - my old one didn't have that feature. Everything about it is an upgrade from my old laptop. It is considerably faster - everything is smooooth vs watching the hourglass constantly as with my old system. I really like the dragon too - very cool!

Great little laptop

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop with enough SSD storage for my kid, especially since she likes to move around, now I don't have to worry about laptop crashing because she was using a standard hard drive since those hard drives you really don't want to be moving around. I just wish it came with 16Gb of RAM instead of 8 Gb but oh well, I read you can add those yourself and I'm not a big fan of the trackpad, but that's why I bought a mouse for it.

Easy choice

The best part is how easy it is to upgrade memory and storage. 8GB was sufficient but I just wanted to increase it to 16GB and it's fast. I also added another SSD. Highly recommend.

Budget friendly everyday laptop with no complaints

Can't match the specs else where for the $

This replaces my 5+ yr old Toshiba Satellite PC. I just can't justify spending $750 to $1000 for a laptop. I purchased this PC at $499 and you cannot match the specs at this price. The Solid State Drive is very fast along with the I5 microprocessor. This is a great PC for the majority of users and I would recommend it.
