This mobo is awesome. It was my replacement after my extremely and excessively poor exerprience with gigabyte and their motherboards and customer service. It is speedy, and, a about two to three months in, I have had zero issues since installation. Everything about it from building on it to the first is a mostly smooth process. The wifi drivers specifically were a minor annoyance that can be rememdied with the usb that is provided with the motherboard. The drivers arent already on the motherboard nor the USB, so make sure to download/export on to the USB and have it ready while setting up during first boot. Playing around in the BIOs was a very easy and straightforward process as well. Below is a photo of it hastily put together inside a hyte y70 case with RGBs lit up. They are nice and bright and I have had zero issues. There are also plenty of ports on the motherboard which made putting everything together so quickly that much easier. This is my introduction to MSI, and I intend to keep an eye on them going forward. But with this motherboard, I have a feeling it'll be for a little while.

The MSI MPG X870E CARBON WIFI motherboard has been one of the best parts of my build. Everything about it feels premium, from the design to the performance and overall stability. Setup was very easy, the BIOS is clean and simple to navigate, and it works perfectly with high-end AM5 processors and DDR5 memory. Gaming performance has been excellent, and the board handles multitasking, heavy workloads, and high-speed components without any problems. The Wi-Fi 7 support is a huge plus, connection speeds are fast and stable, and there are plenty of ports and expansion options for future upgrades. It also has great cooling across the board, which helps keep temperatures under control during long gaming sessions. The carbon-black design and RGB lighting give the whole PC a very clean and high-end look. Overall, it feels like a powerful, reliable motherboard built for serious gaming and next-generation performance.

Upgraded from a asrock b850m-c. What a difference! Premium feel, nice board with lots of connections specially fan headers. Its not perfect thiugh i feel asrock has better bios interface. Also apparently theres lane sharing between 2nd nvme slot, 3rd pcie slot and 2nd usb 3 connections. If you use one of those your pcie lane drops from x16 to x8. No board is perfect but i still recommend. What ive learned was no lane sharing at all is only available on the newer x870e carbon wifi max. Overall i recommend this board especially if you're planning on upgrading to ryzen 7 9800x3d

its been two month since I put the computer together, so far its been running strong with Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Perfect timing before the crazy inflation with ram prices. The board came with a good amount of bells and whistles with more than I need. The quality of the board is good I would say. Also came with cables, stickers, and flash drive for the apps. Only negative I have for it, is when I opened the box the primary M2 cover was not secure in the packaging due to having extra magnet piece and it was not locking properly luckily nothing is damaged while in it was shipped aside from a ripped thermal tape on the M2 cover. Also taking off the protective plastic on the board was annoying on dragon logo because it was pinched between pieces.

This is the best motherboard in terms of installation and quality. The bios are very easy to work with along with the connectors. It’s not complicated at all but the board itself is just top tier. No crashes, no lacking, no issues whatsoever. I would recommend this board to anyone who wants to build a pc

Had my rig assembled Dec. 14 this year and yeah this motherboard is "Rock Solid" paired with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D and an RTX 5080 performance is stable!

Bought this motherboard for my first msi mpg PC build. Was looking for newer version of msi ace max motherboard with glowing msi dragon. This modern x870e carbon delivers with great design/rgb and updated hardware.

This motherboard is great! The colors, the durability, and the feel itself is amazing. Running a AMD 9950x3D and MSI RTX 5090 with it and it's running flawlessly.

Tons of usb, nvme, and all ports. Straightforward install and great thermal performance. Only problem with it was pretty spendy, definitely a buy if on sale.

This was an upgrade from my previous Motherboard and it definitely feels like one. Great RGB, lots of USB ports and very easy to install. All around, great upgrade with a premium look and feel.

I was looking for a top tier motherboard and the MSI Carbon checked every box. Super easy to build with, great features, and the BIOS is by far the cleanest and easiest I’ve used.

Got this on sale which makes this motherboard even better. Having 4 M.2 slots means being able to have tons of storage available which is awesome on top of 4 SATA6 ports. You'll never run out of storage with this board. Downside is only the 1st slot for M.2 is PCIe 5.0. The 2nd slot is technically as well, but you have to either select your 1st PCIe X-16 slot or your 2nd M.2 slot as PCIe 5.0 gen. Annoying both couldn't be, but not really an issue for me since both my M.2s are 4.0 and my RTX 4080 Super is also 4.0. Will make future upgrades potentially more difficult balancing everything out. ARGB on the board its self, covers the I/O and M.2 cover, looks really good and is a nice touch to the aesthetics of the board. There are also tons of USB ports to include thunderbolt display ports which is really nice if you are running an iGPU for secondary displays, leaving your main gaming displays to run independently on your Discrete GPU. Overall the build quality and features of this motherboard make it well worth it!

It's a ready good and easy motherboard. Installes it with no issue and love the rgb on the gragon and carnon. I canot complain. I did not need all the m.2 slots but if you need it it has it.
