Customers are saying
Customers appreciate the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 VENTUS 3X 10G OC BV's high performance and ability to deliver smooth gameplay at high resolutions. However, some customers find the price to be expensive and express concerns about the card running hot and producing noticeable fan noise. Solid Card
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After coming from a 3070, this card tends to run a bit hotter. Undervolted slightly, I get in the low 70's temp wise which isn't the greatest but it holds steady at roughly 1900ish Mhz. Given demand and stocking issues, I'm just glad to have been able to get one. Not the best of the 3080's but a solid card regardless. I'm happy with it and the performance improvement

Still a 3080
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is unfortunately one of the lowest tier 3080 cards, and the fans are pretty loud. However, at the end of the day, this is still a 3080 and is an excellent performer. This is definitely overpriced compared to other 3080s, but in this current market, you take what you can get.

Any 3080 is a good 3080 in this market.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: it's a 3080! Cons: probably the least bang for your buck you can get out of a 3080. Thermals are mediocre and overclocking is minimal. It's a great line of cards but this is definitely not the best of the lot.

Excellent performance, does not let down
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent card, performs very well and cool. Used it for someone's PC build. Though a bit pricier than some other models, it holds up well and does not let down. Allows gaming at ultra settings and stays pretty cool!

The great 3080
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cards a monster ,and will run any game at ultra settings. Perfect for 1440p high refresh rate gaming ,and also great for 4k. Also, Rtx looks amazing in the games that support it.

Runs games well, a bit hot
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s an RTX 3080, it runs through most games and task at fast. They’re hard to come by so get it while you can. Due note that it does run hotter than other brands, so good case airflow is important. At the retail price at the time, it was a good buy— not the best, but beggars can’t be choosers.

forgi
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4-stars? 5-stars? I don't know. I just know that I'm coming from an old machine to a 5600x/3080 rig and iRacing is basically the only game I play. I turned the graphics slider to max (which doesn't literally max everything out, btw, but I figure it's a baseline for anyone who is curious), and I have yet to see below the 90fps lock that comes with this Lenovo Explorer VR HMD (even with 30 other Ai cars). On a single monitor at 1440p I was getting 300-400fps alone in testing, sometimes over 400. I did not use the support bracket, because I personally didn't like how it works. I read that others like it, but I didn't. My motherboard is reinforced at the PCI slot, and I may create my own bracket.

Runs absurdly hot -- 110c+
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid card, but runs hot. Crazy hot. My EVGA 3090 FTW3 also runs crazy hot, dangerously so -- this is even hotter. You don't really have much choice when looking for a GPU right now, so if you see this available you should obviously get it as they're impossible to find, but do so ABSOLUTELY PREPARED to replace the thermal pads on the card. It can be daunting for some people but it's actually very simple and there are tons of video guides. Order some 3mm thermal pads (google which ones are the best, Gelid Pros are pretty good) at the same time so you can be ready. For basic gaming it might not be too much of a problem, but if you plan on pushing this card -- or even mining, which will definitely make it as hot as the sun -- I would absolutely not use it too long without replacing the thermal pads.

Msi ventus 3080
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid card. Really runs any game you throw at it. I wish it were more available for everyone to buy and i feel that the price raises on it are unfair.

Don't over pay, but its a good card.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a powerful card, it works fine out of the box, I would say the thermals are a little high, and it is not HIGHLY overclockable due to the thermal limit. I would recommend but only at the MSRP of $700 - $740.

Cyberpunk 2077 card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great card. Use this card paired with a 5600x ryzen cpu and have been waiting for cyberpunk. Finally got it up and running and it is great! I have a 144mhz 1440p lg monitor and maxed out setting I've been averaging around 70fps. If I turn down the settings a bit I can get 100 fps easy. I've waited a long time and the wait was worth it.

Not the best, but hey its a GPU
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This MSI model is on the lower end for the 3080s, not worth the increased price over other brands, say EVGA. But in this market we get whatever the heck is in stock. Replacing the pads are a must on this model. At stock memory temps while gaming with no overclocks stayed around 104. With pad replacement It is now down to 84C. A 30 dollar modification which should not have to be done on a card at this price! Really have not had any issue with this card so happy about that, but still 1.2k is a tough pill to swallow.

Great Card
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a regular 2080 and all I can tell you is that this card blows it out of the water. Better framerates and way better Ray Tracing. Only thing its not running exactly 50 percent better, maybe from high 30's to mid to high 40's but it is depending on game titles and how they optimizing their games

Great Card
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing card. Easily handles every game at 1440p max settings. Ive also set my own fan curve and undervolted the card which reduces power consumption by about 80-100 watts and underload the card now runs at around 54 degrees C. Its also extremely quiet
