Owned the laptop for about a month now, and this is my experience with it so far. Based on my experience I can say I am very pleased with it at this time. I don't think the website specs and description do it justice. I was worried it would be too heavy and too bulky based on those specs, but was pleasantly surprised. The sound is good though I am not an audiophile so I will not list it as an advantage or disadvantage. Advantages: * Heat dissipation: Very good. It doesn't get to hot on the keyboard with even the highest settings enabled on games like Civ 5 or WoW. * Noise: It doesn't run too loud even when the fans are running at full throttle. * Weight: The laptop is not too heavy and it is slimmer than i expected. The Best Buy website does not accurately display this information in my opinion. * Display: The screen is nice and the large aspect ratio makes viewing a lot of information at once much easier. * Lots of ports: An advantage to having a large chassis is that it has a lot of useful ports available so there is no real need for a docking station. * It comes with a free case to carry the laptop in. * Performance is great. Handles multiple apps with no lag. * Keyboard lights up with different color schemes which can be customized. * The keyboard has a nice feel to it also and is easy to type on though an external keyboard may still be preferred for longer usages because obviously it is not ergonomic and there is no real wrist rest. * The power brick is not too large. Disadvantages: * I think this applies to any laptop, but having an external monitor available for long viewing periods is probably recommended given the fact that the screen is not eye level. * It is too big to fit in most 17" laptop bags/backpacks, and the case it comes with does not allow for space to include the power supply or other accessories. * Battery life is not super. It will run on balance performance setting for maybe 90 min. to 2hrs. before shutting down in my experience. * The power cord plugs in on the right side of the computer. Being right-handed it would be nice if it were on the left side. However, it is not a huge issue, and for left-handed persons this could be an advantage. * The lights for num-lock, hard drive activity and such are located on the front of the laptop. It is my opinion that they should be above the keyboard. I find it hard to view them while I am typing as my wrist covers them almost completely. And, besides that fact the symbols able the lights indicating what is what are small and difficult to make out.

Laptop was received faster than promised, installation of additional software was seamless. Boot up and shutdown extremely fast, processing speeds are so very responsive. I am very pleased with the overall performance of this laptop. Super portable for a 17" laptop. Buy it and be impressed!

I am happy with the speed. It is slim and streamline.
