Random Specs But Still Solid

So, just like the previous reviewer, it seems MSI is packaging these up with random specifications. I did not receive the QHD+ panel as advertised, but rather an FHD+ (1920x1200). That being said, the screen is still nice and crisp and bright. I just don't trust that the two reviewers so far have received different products.
I did receive DDR5 4800, though. On the other hand, it has not-so-great timings and latency (CAS 53). I'm no expert, but based upon what I've read this is not much improvement over tight-timed high-end DDR4.
The SSD they used is top-notch. Micron PCIe 4.0 that is blazing fast.
I enjoy the trackpad and keyboard (even though I mainly used a mouse and Topre BT keyboard). I like all the monitoring and tuning options such as the battery settings where I can very simply choose to prolong life by setting it as mainly a plugged-in desktop replacement which limits charge to 80%. When I'm on the move, just a couple clicks and I'm up to 100%. It also charges very fast.
I'm in finals week of school, so it really is a bummer that I didn't get what I expected/paid for. Still have to give it some more time so I can actually finish my semester and test out the 12th gen CPU and DDR5 with some art and video projects.
I'm not sure this is THE laptop to stick with considering that I don't fully trust in MSI now after seeing them just throw random stuff together. I've built many PCs with their parts, but this just seems shady. To be continued...

This laptop is listed as having a QHD+ panel also LPDDR5 ram. The one I received did not. On the box it says FHD+ panel and the older LPDDR4x ram. That's not what I payed for so for that reason I will be returning. I didn't even crack the seal on the box. The misrepresentation was enough for me.

Alike to reviewer GUMO, I have the same erroneous specs sticker on the box. However, the unit does have LPDDR5, unlike the LPDDR4 as listed. Contacting Customer Support, they assured me only LPDDR5 is compatible with this unit. They requested I upload links to where I found the erroneous resolution specs- which was their website as well as Best Buy. Still suspicious about the ram, at a command prompt I ran "wmic memorychip list full" as well as the proprietary MSI/HELP DESK/System Information utility, which agreed.
You must watch for the name of the unit carefully in a review. It is Summit E16 Flip Evo A12U 16" Laptop, not the one in the expert review below.
That being said, go find me another laptop with the Intel EVO chip and LPDDR5 ram in a similar price range, or at all. While I find it a bit heavy, it is really slender. After loading all my video, photo, publishing and utilities the cold boot up is about 13 seconds to get on the internet. From sleep, it is 1 second. Playing a 3D game works great, but the area above the keyboard is hot to the touch. Wish the SSD was 1TB. Keyboard feel is really good. Wish the number pad was different. Have to undo NumLk to use home, end, pgup and pgdn. Touchpad is nicely large and responsive, includes easy disable (F4). With the EVO chip and SSD, battery life is really long. Do not underestimate the Intel EVO chip. It really is fast and powerful, but low in power consumption. Knocks AMD off the playing field.
