The MSI Trident 3 8RC is a great small-form-factor desktop. It is fast enough to do regular computing tasks and perform well for gaming. If you need serious speed or graphics power consider an I7 or I9 processor with a faster disk and perhaps a 1070 graphics card. If you want to save lots of money and still have a great computing experience, this could be the desktop for you. It is small enough to fit nearly anywhere and virtually silent when it is running. I use a USB Blu-Ray disk drive with dual displays. Full screen video is smooth without pixelation. About the only negative I could find was difficulty in identifying USB3 ports from USB2. I remember all the ports were black and I could not locate documentation to identify them. The computer came with an earlier version of Windows 10 so you will have to go through lots of updates to get to the current 1903 version. Unlike some other brands, MSI is good about not burdening the computer down with pervasive bloatware.

I ordered this pc as open box excellent condition ( or so it said) with two year Warranty for a total of 1040$ and had it shipped to my house and then when it came I picked up and went home and everything was fine but when I plugged it into my monitor and there was red lines all over the screen so I already knew something was wrong and then when I got further and went to sign in and there was already a user signed into windows so i couldnt even sign into the pc i just bought for 1040$ and waited 4 days for So I had to take it to my local bestbuy to replace it and the only had two options a pc with base price of 1350 and another similar one with a base price of 1700 so I had to return this pc i bought and trade it in for the 1350$ one because it was the lower out of the two options so in the end i had to pay 1682$ for the pc with the same warranty and tax . Overall horrible experience and am very dissapointed.

I’m in a barracks room currently and am goin to move soon, so the compact size is a major bonus. It runs the games I play on high with good performance, games like apex legends. All around great for the price.

My Alienware Gamer motherboard died, so it was time to search for a new smaller form factor machine. Found this online, was intrigued, built really well, up gradable. Lacking a DC/DVD, but a usb based one works fine. Solid on components with adjustments for gaming. Please be sure to check out the MSI Trident 3 website, watch the videos and you'll come to the same conclusion. https://www.msi.com/Desktop/Trident-3

I recently purchased the trident 3. I primarily use it for VR and running fortnite and COD. This handles all of those without question. the quality of the machine is great as well. My only complaint is the mouse and keyboard it comes with but i wouldn't have expected a great set to come with it. If you are planning to use this machine for competitive use then get a better keyboard and mouse but for everyday gaming its perfect. I would defiantly recommend the trident 3 to anyone looking to have a small form factor gaming PC

I bought this computer thinking I would get what I paid for. With it being from msi, I still thought it would be a solid desktop to get, especially for the price. Oh, I was very wrong. It constantly runs the disk at 100%, no matter what you do. You could literally be sitting there, not touching anything, no programs open, and the disk would run at 100%. With that, the speed of the computer was extremely slow. The only thing I found to be positive was the graphics, I felt they were well worth the money.

So I have seen and reviewed this Trident 3 desktop for the last few months, I just purchased mine earlier this month. I must say i am deeply impressed with its performance and have surpassed my expectations. I did not purchase it through BEST BUY, but I did use their website to choose the best package for my interest. MSI and BEST BUY have made this buy a perfect and reliable choice for my ULTIMATE GAMING NEEDS.
