This film is basically Joss Whedon and his friends having fun. Chocked full of performers from Whedon's previous films, such as Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Clark Gregg, and Nathan Fillion, there are certainly a lot of likable actors to draw non-Shakespearean audiences. Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker provide fabulous performances as the leads. The editing of Shakespeare's work provides a clear story while maintaining the spirit and poetry of the play. If you are a fan of Whedon and his band of actors, and do not totally hate Shakespeare, then this is a film you will want to see.

I really enjoyed this movie, especially because it is using the actual words from the original play. This movie can be great for people that have never seen a Shakespeare movie, and want to be introduced or people that have seen them all. This movie is also at a great price, for both Blu-ray and digital copy!

Joss Whedon shot this film in secret, and it's an amazing modern version of the classic story. Much like Baz Luhrmann's take on Romeo and Juliet, the film takes place in a modern setting with old English dialogue. Don't let the black and white fool you, as this is a title worth owning.

The blu-ray: The sound and picture are great. It's a gorgeous set very simple. The plot: For fans of Joss, you will enjoy this. It has his signature style and is very thought-provoking, yet direct. Plus you can't go wrong when you are using Shakespeare as a basis.

A beautifully realized, well-acted adaptation of Shakespeare's classic. A loose, free-wheeling approach by Joss Whedon and the actors lends a unique vibe to the proceedings. It's well worth adding this one to your collection.

I bought this for a friend that seems to have an obsession with this movie. Then we have a girls day watching it 3 times. Watched the movie, watched with cast commentary, watched with Director commentary. Definitely worth the whole day invested.

All of the actors are great. Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof are my most favorite on-screen couple (sorry Alyson, but I'm available). Clark Gregg gives and amazing performance. Tom Lenk and Nathan Fillion are as hilarious as they always are.

Shakespeare interpretations - many have tried, most have failed. Luckily, Joss Whedon has seemlessly melded his own Whedonverse with the world of Shakespeare, with entertaining results for all!

Joss Whedon did it again. He took Shakespeare to a wonderful new level with actors from his other shows and a great new insight. Loved every single minute.

I got the feeling that they did it for the love of the story and working for Joss Whedon. If you are a Whedon fan, you will love the movie. Oh, and Shakespeare is a pretty good playwright too.

This movie is very funny! The director has taken a classic Shakespearean comedy and set it in the modern day with a few minor changes. The acting is superb and the adaptation is spot on!

A wonderfully creative and hilarious, yet moving, adaptation. There are many highlights but Clark Gregg and Nathan fillion truly a joy to watch.

I needed to get a gift for my sister after winning our annual bet over who would win at the Golden Globes and Best Buy had exactly what I needed.

I'm not a giant Shakespeare fan but this makes the story easily understandable. And it's beautifully done. And wonderfully acted.

A different take on Shakespeare leaves you in awe. Tasteful, yet fresh enough to be taken as a stand-alone piece in today's growing film market.

Great film. And a great story behind the making of this. Gave this as a gift to a Whedoite in my family and she was thrilled.

Great movie now on dvd and blu ray don't miss out since you can watch this movie over and over.
