Not a movie for everyone: you have to actually pay attnetion to small details and the plot. The transfer in 4k looks phenomenal.

Criterion has done Lynch proud again with this stunning new Blu-ray release of his 21st century masterpiece that pops and shimmers in 4K glory capturing the allure of sun-drenched, facade enclosed Hollywood in true Sunset Boulevard fashion with Naomi Watts as with the rest of the cast giving a darling performance as an aspiring actress who finds herself caught up in mystery and romance with an alluring amnesiac and her bag full of money all the while a young hot shot movie director finds his marriage on the rocks while the movie he's currently directing is being taken over by ruthless producers who aren't afraid of using brute force to get their way. Extras while in listing deceptively seem light but the four interview segments found are fairly long and extensive much like previous efforts documenting Lynch's work coupled with a rather odd deleted scene and the theatrical trailer. Overall this is a release that was totally worth the long wait and will hopefully serve alongside last year's Eraserhead release as the jumping point for more future Lynch releases from Criterion. Fabulous and recommended.

    Another David Lynch Masterpiece

Mulholland Dr. is another David Lynch masterpiece. Not as hard to put your mind around as Eraserhead and not as linear in storyline as Blue Velvet or Wild at Heart, and much more satisfying than Lost Highway. A beautiful film that merits repeated viewings; especially this Criterion edition which is just stunning. Plus the supplemetal material is a huge bonus. So grab a cup of coffee and some pie and enjoy!

This is one of the greatest movies ever made. Explanations as to why would require far more space than available here. Anyone claiming to be a cinephile should have this film in their collection. Criterion's blu-ray isn't perfect, but unless you're freeze-framing it and looking for problems, you'll very likely never see them. Watched normally, the audio/visual presentation is breathtaking.

Bizarre, psychological mystery. Really keeps you guessing. Naomi is superb! I'm surprised it flew under the radar. Many people would love it if only they would watch it.

Pieces of this movie are still being debated in my house. It will keep you on the edge of your seat while watching it and discussing it after its over. Great movie, dramatic and sensual. Would not recommend for younger viewers, but a great adult discussion movie.

I watch all kinds of movies, and some are more "out there" than others. I found this movie to keep my attention the entire time, always wondering what was going to happen next, or where the heck is this going? It is extremely well done, no question about that, it is just very different. So if want to stress your brain, even after it is over, then this is for you!
