The Murdoch Mysteries crew is back fro another season of Period crime, mystery and adventure... I have noted many so-called fans slamming the series sometime-lapses into 'message' episodes, and while this element is apparent, it is not the 'bad-as-all-that-I`m-done' deal-breaker that some people whine about. The characters are still engaging, and the plots are still involving. My wife quibbles about 'soap opera' character sub-plots and dramatics.... But is that not evident in ALL dramas? Anyway; Historic figure 'guest stars' are still popping up on Murdoch, and I have no problem with that.... Actually, my only quibble is that the series has almost dropped the Period scene-setting special effect where the production took Period photographs and sort of '3-D Roto-scoped' them into a scene intro. I had found that quaint and charming in the earlier seasons, but it has largely disappeared over the past few seasons. Still; Murdoch Mysteries remains a fun and fairly intelligently-written detective series, with solid. yet believably-flawed characters. ENJOY !

Could barely wait until season 14 came out and now I have it. I have starting watching it and it's just as good as the last 13 seasons. The chemistry among all the characters is great. Story lines are interesting and I like that they bring back regulars that are fascinating characters. Also, love they way they add real life historical people in the story lines sometimes too. Fun show.Highly recommend.

Wasn't particularly impressed. Some of the episodes were good but for the most part meh especially the last two episodes which were mostly flashbacks. Looks like there will be a season 15 since we had the usual cliffhanger.
