The Sony Blu Ray is a good product at a good value; movie was outstanding

A lot of times sequels are a bad idea. Most of the time actually. This is a rare exception. I image because of the time it took to create the script and make it. There is only one slice of the film that does nothing for the plot and almost kills it for me. But thank god it is a small slice. If it were left out, no one would have ever been the wiser. I''d recommend the film and hope they make a third.

I really wanted to like this movie more than I do, although it's not bad. I would give it 3.5 stars, but I don't want to go all the way down to 3, mostly out of nostalgia. The original is one of my favorite movies of all time. As someone who immigrated to the US at a young age, I can relate to the incredible honesty and even courage of the original to reveal great truths in its candid and hilarious depiction of life in a big immigrant family. I have frequently told people who have seen that movie, "That's pretty much my life". Where the original's humor, charm, and wit came from revealing great and simple truths, even painful ones, about the immigrant family experience, the sequel creates contrived and unrealistic situations which draw little humor. Gone is the delightful revelation and relation of the first, and instead we have a sort of forced and uninspired retread. There's not one point where I would go "That's so True!" like I did with the original. The blu-ray has two short bonus features (about 15 minutes each) involving interviews with the cast. There's really not much real "making of" content. I really wish this had included a commentary like the first did, which was where the really informative and entertaining making of content was found. However, the real fun of the sequel, and perhaps all it was meant to be, is a reunion of the wonderful cast, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere which is reminiscent of the first. There are enough funny moments to recommend at least one viewing.

My wife enjoyed this movie as a birthday gift. It hit many of the same beats as the first movie. The picture quality on blu ray was very good.

Family-friendly movie. Great that all of the actors and actresses from the first movie are in the second. Provides great continuity.

Big family fun, awkward and loved. Makes one reflect on awkward and embarassing family memories and feel the Love again.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. It was nice to see where the characters grew. Great movie, still very funny. Enjoy.

The 1st My Big Fat Greek Wedding is my favorite, however this 2nd one definitely adds to the story and I like it too.

Hilarious sequel. My family members needed help getting up off the floor because they were rolling on it laughing so much.

Very entertaining movie. Most of the times part 2 is not as good as the original one, but not the case in this one.

As my son will be marrying his Greek goddess next year I had to catch up on everything Greek Wedding! I can’t wait !
