Pretty Good Program

I have both My Fitness Coach 1 and 2 and find good things about both. My Fitness Coach 1 gives me more stretching and more variety and option of type of exercise. I don't like doing the same exercise 3 times in a row. I'm 65 and this program has me doing 2-3 times jogging, then 2-3 times each of two other jumping exercises. I get 48 reps and my knees can't really handle that. It doesn't give me any way to opt out if I can't do an exercise or to skip doing it multiple times if it's too much. I like using the balance board but sometimes it doesn't seem to recognize that I'm doing the exercise, not sure if I'm holding the remote incorrectly but if I have to have both hands on the balance board not sure what to do with the remote. I'd like them to develop a My Fitness Coach 3 that incorporated both programs using the balance board and separating the exercises better so I don't do 3 sets of jumping in a row. And this program would be much better with some stretching. I like the program but would do it most days if it were changed as above. Now I alternate days with My Fitness Coach 1.

My wife and I, both 31 with a toddler and a baby, purchased the Wii Fit last year. We used it for a while, but got away from it within about a month. It lacked a few things that I believe that this product has.
Just a thought before going into pros/cons. This is not really a game...more like an interactive workout video. I like that part of it...but others may enjoy the gaming nature of other products.
PROS:
-The fitness instructors are real people, not animated characters. So, it feels like you are right there with them, not trying to mimic a computer. There are also 4 to choose from, 2 men/2 women. They are encouraging when they need to be, and tough when necessary.
-The customization is great. You can customize your workout to your goal and change it at any time. Workouts can be changed to mimic your primary goals (body shaping, weight loss, summer vacation abs, busy mom with no energy, etc) It's very personalized to YOU.
-The workouts are auto determined, so you don't have to click into different exercises. They flow from one to another without clicks. So, for 30-45 minutes, you can just let the system run the show without too many pauses. This was a feature that i didn't find as user-friendly in the Wii Fit.
-The graphics/user interface of the program are appealing to the eye. The music is just the right amount, not overwhelming.
CONS:
-The nutrition concept is a great feature, with a few annoyances. The menu is created for you with your food preferences in mind. However, the menu is not made for a person with a busy life or family. The recipes are so fancy and involved, that it could take hours to prepare a day's meals.
-It give you a shopping list for your weekly foods, but not the option to print or email the list...which is a mile long. Also, the list could get very expensive, as everything is made fresh (which is nice, just not always practical on a budget minded young family.)
All in all, this is a great product that I can see our family using for a long time. I'm writing this the morning after the first day's workout, and I'm not sore, but can tell that I worked out yesterday. Hopefully a couple months from now I'll come back and say that I'm still using the product.
Enjoy!!!

I was so excited when I heard that this game was coming out as i loved the first version. The graphics are great on this game. Much better than the first version. However, everything else was terrible!!!! The exercises were not difficult at all. And the flow of the exercises were constantly interrupted by the trainer and a summary of how well you did per exercise. It would have been better if that was done at the end of the routine. I was looking for something to push the pace and this definitely missed the mark!!! I have most of the other games on the market and will continue to use them.

This game has worked wonderfully for me so far! I can see a definate change in my leg and arm muscles. To me, one of the best things about this game is that you pick your goals, and they will set up a different workout every day to help you reach them. They are short workouts, but like I said, you will see results.

This is such a waste of money...nothing at all like the first one. The first one was such a great workout and this one..ughhh...the workouts are not timed but I did THREE workouts and it was only 15 minutes! Just really bad and very similar to the fit...
