Small town hockey at it’s best.

Discover The "Mystery" in Alaska.

The story of "Mystery, Alaska" is based on a true story of a ragtag bunch of guys in Mystery, Alaska challenging the professional hockey team, the New York Rangers, to a match. While watching the action of the game, one can't conceive of the idea that the team from Mystery, Alaska will lose not only quickly but also badly in the contest. However there is so much desire and heart in their playing. Perhaps there is no "mystery" in the outcome of the game but the Alaskan team gains both admiration and respect from all including the New York Rangers. It is a well acted and even better well played game and movie plus you don't have to be a hockey player and/or Russell Crowe fan to enjoy it.

great hockey movie with a lot of heart

It's about a small town where everybody knows everyone else, and they live together as a familial community. And in spite of being small, they have large expectations and just want a shot to prove themselves. This is a really terrific film.

I love this movie!

Russell Crowe before he got famous; Burt Reynolds amazing as usual and terrific story, acting, directing on all counts. Language is a big rough in parts and there is some mature theme that is not appropriate for the little guys.
