Great PS4/5 - PC controller. It comes inside a nice carrying case and they include a large braided charging cable, an USB wireless dongle, cleaning tissue. Inside the case you will also find a smaller plastic case, and inside there is a set of several weights, a different layout cross pad and sticks. The best benefit of this controller, is that both sticks are hall effect ones. What that means is they are magnetic and not using a potentiometer like regular controllers. This means they will never go bad and you will never experience "controller stick drift" over time. I love how customizable it is. If you plug it into your computer and install their software, you can highly customize it. Change button assigns, sensitivity, create new profiles (4 are included out of the gate). They say a mobile app is coming too. You don't need the software at all, if you just want to use it with a PS4/5 you can use the "C" standard mode (you can customize it on the fly too, using a combination of buttons), but I prefer the "A" advanced mode with the PC app, using this mode you can save your profiles/customizations to the controller and use it on a console. They include a set of different weights so you can customize the controller's weight to your liking. It feels very well balanced. It will work either corded or wireless using the included USB dongle. They also include a plug in adapter to support audio via the controller (typical minijack). Only cons I could find is the layout... if this is a PlayStation centric controller, why the Xbox style stick layout? Also, vibration only works on a PS4 and PC (but its not Nacon's fault, its Sony's, as they don't allow vibration on 3rd party controllers on the PS5). Battery life is great and I have gamed with it on my PC for about 3 days and battery was strong. The controller has LEDs that show you the remaining battery life. Highly recommend this controller if you don't want to have any more "stick drift" anymore!!

I really had high hopes for this controller, because feature wise it sounds great and hardware wise it has addressed the biggest problem with the OEM PS5 controllers - stick drift. I'm not saying it's a bad controller, just not what I was expecting.  Out of the box it's approximately 1 ounce heavier than the OEM PS5 controller and it's shaped more like an Xbox controller than a Playstation one. One ounce might not seem like a lot, because most of the time it's not. However the displacement of the weight is different. The PS5 controller holds most of the weight at the front, where the charging port is. The Nacon controller is heavier in the center and the handles. For some reason this weight distribution makes the controller feel heavier than it actually is or that there is more of an effort to hold it (if that makes any sense to you)This comparison is without the optional handle weights that come with the Nacon. For people that actually like the heavier controller feel, there are additional weights in the case that can easily be popped in and out of the handles in less than a minute. I usually game for a long time, so I opted for the lighter feel of no added weights. For people that absolutely love the design and feel of the OEM controller, this might take some adjusting to get used to. For people that love their PS5 but have been dying to use an Xbox controller, this is probably as close as you are going to get. There are some differences, the Nacon controller is a little broader around the trigger area and handles, and generally feels a little bulkier than the OEM Xbox controller and PS5 controller. In comparison to the OEM PS5 controller this is a bit of a jump in the general feel of the two controllers. Even though it's not much bigger than the PS5 controller it feels awkward the first time you try to use it. especially with any game that uses the triggers. After just an hour of playing a FPS game the rigid triggers started to make my fingers hurt. The curve and design of the triggers is not as fluid as the PS5 ones. You can switch the buttons on the triggers for shorter quicker responses. That feature works good, ,just as described and is better for FPSs. The D-Pad like the thumb sticks can be swapped out for the 4 directional pad or the full round D-Pad. Both feel a bit odd, because the D-Pad itself sinks into the controller like an L3 click. The full round pad feels too clumsy to get accurate movements. The 4 directional D-Pad is slightly better but still hits that clumsy feel as it sinks when trying to run your finger across it from one direction to the next. I play a variety of games, but currently I have been playing a lot of Call of Duty Mw3.In its "classic" setting the controller handles well for most things and is at its closest to the OEM controller, except for the thumbsticks. The thumbsticks use a different type of technology vs the traditional potentiometer thumbstick. The Nacon uses Hall Effect thumbsticks. They use magnets and electrical conductors as opposed to the traditional electrical resistance. The magnets have the advantage of no actual friction across the sensors. This idea may lead most people to believe this will last forever, but that is not the case as the bails and gimbal mechanisms do move and can wear over time. A good Hall Effect controller could easily last 2 to 3 times longer than a traditional controller in regards to stick drift.  The idea behind what they were trying to do with the thumbsticks was great ! However, it doesn't work that great for all games. The controller has a "Classic" mode and an "Advanced" mode. The classic mode is as close to the standard controller as possible. Even though the thumbsticks are more precise and fluid feeling, they lack that quick snap back feeling of an OEM controller. You can getused to it, but after playing MW3 all week, I still couldn't get my aiming and moving as quick and accurate as I could with the OEM controller. The Thumbsticks just feel spongy when trying to run and quickly aim at different targets. The Nacon controller also has 4 built-in thumbstick profiles designed for specific types of games (Driving, FPS, Arcade, and Infiltration). I tried the FPS mode on MW3 and it was okay for sniper rifles, and worked okay for single shot weapons but for quicker weapons like the SMGs and Assault Rifles, it was okay. for one or two close targets, but for more targets or targets of greater distances it would fail to reach them in time. I tried the other 3 modes and there is a real noticeable difference in how the thumbsticks react. I tried the Arcade mode and for some reason, my character kept turning indifferent directions than what I was pressing, so I was not sure what was going on there.The thumbsticks are very precise in their direction and responsiveness based on the profile. The having different levels of precision and responsiveness really help out in certain situations and games. The classic profile worked great on "For Honor".The Driving one worked good on Need For Speed, the 4th profile seemed way too slow for anything I would play. In addition to the 4 preset modes, you can create your own profile, but you would have to plug the controller into a PC and download the Nacon app. The App gives you a lot more options the way the controller can be used. I still wasn't happy with the results, so I thought I would try to add the metal rings to the thumbstick bases. The rings basically shorten the distance the thumbsticks travel, cancelling out dramatic moves in any direction. This did not help me as I was trying to get a closer feel to the OEM controller. I guess I could have used the rings and gone into the app and changed the dead zone areas. Maybe that would have been more effective. So , I will add that to my try list. I so much wanted this controller to have the feel of thePS5 controller without the stick issues.  The controller does not have a built-in mic. But does have a clip on mic that fits into the audio port, so you can use it just like a PS5 controller during chats. It also has built in bluetooth, so you can use virtually any headset you want with it. You can also use a combination of audio devices as long as they don't overlap features, ie,. a non mic bluetooth headset and the included mic adapter. But not a wired headset and a bluetooth headset. There are also built-in audio EQ presets that can easily be swapped to from the touchpad. You can even adjust the volume from the touchpad as well. The charging port and cable seem to be of high quality, but again there is a give and take here. The charging port sits so deep into the controller that only the included cable will fit in thereto charge the controller, so make sure to carry this cable with the controller always. The deeper well for the charging port actually holds the cable into place so there is less sideways pull from the cable on the port, so this is a benefit to the longevity of the charging port and cable.( After some searching I was able to find another cable that would work to charge the controller)  Nacon was established by BigBen in 2019 and wants to be the leader in gaming  accessories and AA games. They have acquired several other gaming companies to help them in their venture. With all their combined efforts they are coming up  with some good ideas, it's just the execution that needs some more work. The controller is definitely usable, and offers a ton of different ways to alter the look, feel and control of most everything and possibly with some more tinkering, or updates I might be able to find that sweet spot in the settings that works the best for me.

The Nacon Revolution 5 pro is a top contender for your gaming sessions. When I first unboxed it, I loved the presentation of the carrying case, the included accessories case and charging cable. Although, it took a bit getting used to the "pro" layout when comparing to a PS5 dual sense controller, Nacon allows for great customization of your controller. First, I added some weight for a more solid feels. Then, I changed out the rubber joysticks for a better grip. I even changed the pad to the included and more traditional + pad. Setup took a little digging since there was no full manual, just a quick start guide that did not go above just connecting and mentioning a quick snippet about Bluetooth. After playing a few FPS games on the PS5, I was at first annoyed that there was no vibration feedback. This alone would make me opt for Sony's pro controller which retails at around the same price as this one. But you get used to it and you forget after a while that there is no vibration for PS5. The true selling point for me are the magnetic hall effect joysticks and triggers. I can game confidently knowing these are a true pro grade system. Battery life has been great also, boasting 10hrs of game play.

I’ve been using the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro Wireless Controller for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m impressed with its performance and build quality. Here’s my breakdown: What I Loved: • Ergonomics: The controller feels great in my hands. The shape is comfortable, and the materials feel premium, especially during long gaming sessions. • Customization: I really appreciate the ability to tweak settings via the software, from button mapping to sensitivity. It makes this controller feel tailored to my needs. • Compatibility: Works seamlessly with PS5, PS4, and PC without any noticeable issues. Switching between devices is straightforward. • Wireless Performance: The wireless connection is reliable, with no noticeable input lag during gameplay. What Could Be Better: • Price Point: While it delivers on features, it’s a bit on the pricier side compared to other controllers. • Battery Life: Decent but not groundbreaking. It would be great to see a longer-lasting battery, especially for those marathon gaming sessions. • Weight: It’s slightly heavier than I expected. While it adds a premium feel, it might not suit everyone. Final Thoughts: This is a great controller for serious gamers who value customization and performance. While there’s room for improvement in a few areas, it’s a solid option for anyone looking to elevate their gaming experience. If you’re okay with the price, it’s definitely worth considering!

Nacon is another brand that has chosen to give the public what we all want: elite controllers with customization and flexibility. That's what we want and what the companies are giving us. This controller attempts to replace my current PC controller, the Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma, which is an excellent controller in every way shape and form. Opening up the box reveals a really nice case, just like the Microsoft Elite controller case, if you have seen those. Inside you'll find the controller, a very long braided cable, a small kit of weights and joystick adapters and last but not least your USB stick to use for wireless. Yes this one is wireless, which my Razer Wolverine is not, so that is a leg up for the Nacon. The setup in Windows on a PC is not as straightforward as it should be, so remove that leg up. Unlike the Wolverine the Nacon Revolution does not just work when you plug it into a PC and start gaming. I tried several games including Fortnight, Call of Duty, etc and nothing worked to recognize the controller. Madden 24 did recognize it without doing anything. So off to Nacon's site where I got the driver for my joystick, unfortunately I got the wrong driver called Revolution or such. It simply failed to recognize the controller. Once I got the correct driver package, entitled "Revolution 5 Pro", and followed the instructions, to strangely ensure I switched the button on the back of the controller to PS5, then my PC recognized and updated the firmware. Then I could program it. Once I did this, it has been utilized without any issues in all games that I have tried. Switching out the components on the joystick is magnetic, ie you grab and pull gently, but persistently, to replace the part in question and it will come off and you can just take the other part and put it on very easily with a light push. The weights that come with it, of which there are several, let you add on weight to make it have a feel to match whatever other controller that you like. Some folks like a light controller to game for a long time, while others, including myself, prefer a weightier controller that feels more solid in hand. There is not much lighting here to speak of, just around the right analog ring and the pad at the top, so if you want lighting then go with another stick like the Razer Wolverine v2 Chroma, which has a good bit of RGB. The feel of the controller though is the star of the show here, and has what led me to replace the Razer Wolverine Chroma v2 with this stick. It's just got a feel of etched lazered heavy plastic that is unmatched. It is cool to the touch and I have yet to sweat using it, but it just feels so satin like, if that's a word, that it is great. It's definitely the best, most ergonomic controller that I've ever used. Now for the big downfall for PS5 users. This has no rumble. Btw the rumble works on the PC, until you install the driver though it does not. So if you have no rumble then the driver needs to be updated. But yes it does work on PC, not the PS5 though. It's not a technical thing, it's the fact that Sony will not allow it. So I'm going to say that whether or not you should purchase this controller boils down to this. If you only have a PS5 I'd go with the Sony Dualsense Edge, a near perfect controller in every way shape and form that also has dualsense (something that this does lack on PC as well). Do not buy this controller if you only intend to ever use it on the PS5. However, if you are like me and play and own both a good gaming PC and a PS5, and you can live without the rumble/dualsense on the PS5, and you game a bit more on the PC, then this is definitely the controller for you and I can wholeheartedly recommend. Nacon has done the impossible, pried my hands from the all mighty Razer Wolverine v2 Chroma. It's a major feat of technical engineering, in both the shell texture, as well as the placement of all buttons and sticks. Well done Nacon, well done!

It doesnt compare to the XBox Pro Series II. I know this is for PS5 and it serves its purpose. 4 paddles that are mappable and work well especially in Fortnite BR. Only the right sight toggle lights up, not sure why both dont. The right Trigger button gets stuck and wont fire. You have to play with the right trigger off to be able to fire the gun. Inconvenient when you want a short trigger pull but works fine with RE9. The controller is fine for a casual player. Since I test in gaming environments, I probably wouldnt buy it again

Really nice controller. My setup was on PC so not PlayStation in my household. Makes me want to buy a PS now. We will see. PC setup was a cinch. Basically plug and play with windows 11. Setup on Rainbow Six was super easy. All self explanatory. Also Wireless setup was super easy too. The really nice part of this controller is being able to customize the weight. There are 2 panels at each of the grips to open up and add the desired weights in there. To make it heavier to you satisfaction. Nicely done. LED lights are nice and subtle . Ability to program buttons is straightforward. Storage case is nice and compact and stores everything you need. Response times are nice. No lag or buffering. No complaints on both wireless and wired. Took about 2 hours to fully charge out of the box. Battery life is good. 5 hours of playing sor far and no issues. Appearance is nice. Black and simple. Sits well in my hand. I think I will definitely be using this controller as my go to for now. Good job Nacon.

I recently bought this controller for myself as mostly due to the mappable buttons on the back. But overall, I didn’t like them as much as some other did. The reason I gave it a 4 because it’s not necessarily a bad controller and some people obviously really like it. It just wasn’t for me or what I like in a controller personally. Pros: 1. Additional mappable buttons 2. Placement of the back buttons 3. Overall comfort 4. Battery life compared to DualSense / DualSense edge Cons: 1. Connectivity issues (sometimes disconnects from my PS5 while playing games, even at full charge) 2. Lack of haptic feedback or any vibration at all (they just didn’t add the basic feature of vibration for PS5…but vibration does work on PS4 and PC…yea idk either) 3. The plastic it’s made from it’s weird do not really make it feel like a premium controller, even though if not on sale, it’s $200.

Im originally a Xbox player that switched to PS5 in November. I had been using the Elite Series 2 controller since its release so I had a learning curve using the PlayStation configuration. I have bought 3 PS5 pro controllers of which i still have 2. Bought the Dualsense Edge first and its decent but battery life is terrible. Tried the Victrix Pro BFG since its modular and can be used in Xbox configuration but returned it. Paid $174.99 for it and got the Revolution 5 for only $179.99. Honestly the Revolution 5 makes the Victrix feel like a toy. The Victrix is small inhand and just feels cheap. The Revolution 5 honestly reminds me alot of the Elite Series 2. It has soft touch rubber on it and is just super comfortable inhand. The added runner grips feel perfect fof long gaming sessions. The 8 way d-pad works incredibly good which kind of surprised me. I typically change out but didn't this time. The Hall Effect sticks just work great for me. I play shooters 95% of the time woth Apex Legends being myain game. I tried out the controllers in the firing range and i was just much more accurate with the Revolution 5. That translated over to the actual game as I was easily getting more kills and damage output than i did last season when I used the Dualsense Edge mainly. Battery life seems fo be abput 10hrs which is about 2-4 more than the Edge. Yes it doesn't have haptics or vibration on PS5 games but I honestly dont miss it. I typically turn it off for shooters anyhow. So if you are coming from Xbox I honestly cannot recommend the Revolution 5 enough. Iike it so much that o can honestly see buying amother whenever i need a replacement.

This premium controller feels great in hand the asymmetric sticks are a great touch. Paddle breaks and adjustable weight ad premium options along with concave and convex joystick swaps. Keep in mind this contoller has no vibration or ps5 trigger functions. Great pver controller and has HAL effect macking stick drift not a thing.

Nacon Revolution 5 Pro Wireless Controller is the best I've used in 2024 so far that gets so much right at this price point. The feature list is insane with remappable buttons, weights, bluetooth audio, and Hall Effect technology that ends joystick drift. I want to note that this controller does not connect directly to the console via BT just to get the question out of the way. The controller feels great in the hand especially since you can add weighted dumbells to the controller. The ribbed grips stay firm in the hand while the design of the controller looks nice which extends to the triggers. I appreciate the black soft texture coating as some white controllers become dirty over some time, Nacon got as close to a Playstation 5 controller as they could and they did a good job with button placement. Love the LED ring around the Anglog stick that gives it a nice touch of color. I also like where the micro shortcut buttons are located and placed. The Revolution 5 Pro works with PS4, PS5, and PC and I have tested all systems listed with no issues. Using it on PC it acts/maps like an Xbox controller on Steam and most games. There are six interchangeable joystick heads and adaptative trigger stoppers with a switch in the back of the controller. This is a wireless/wired controller that comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable and two separate D-Pads which I changed for my playthroughs of gaming with an external microphone and USB dongle. There are more embedded within the app that you can download. There is no shortage of features if you looking for a pro controller. One of the controller's standing strengths is that it can pair with Bluetooth earbuds or a headset. This is one of the best "Pro" controllers I've used this year and taps the right features honestly. It feels solid like a controller in this category should, just nice to grip and hold firmly when playing games. easily to me to recommend to anyone doing esports.

Playing with this controller after using the ps5 since it came out is a kind of a disadvantage. It’s bulky compared to the ps5 controller. Other than this, its close to perfect. The trigger stops are in an uncomfortable spot that will have your knuckles in a quick sharp pain. The charging is good the battery life is good as in 10 hours. Moving to the ps5 edge was better hence using the same controller since the ps5 came out. The back buttons on the arms feel good at first until it’s time to play fast and aggressive. I had to curl my ring finger on top of my middle, it was easy to misclick. Its easy to get the hang of holding it with this oddly grip if you played claw before

First, I must point out that this controller is designated as PRO, which is how I am going to approach this review. The controller comes in a very sturdy case. In there, several components, including a long USB-C to USB-A braided cable. The controller screams build-quality and I appreciate the matte back finish, which prevents smudges. There’s also RGB lighting for those who like that. Although designed with PS4 and PS5 in mind, the controller itself follows the XB physical design but retains the PS5 touchpad. It is lighter than the official controller, but that can be changed. As a PRO controller, it is fully modular and customizable. In addition to weight, you can change the stick caps, thumbstick travel, D-pad, and add Bluetooth compatibility with physical parts. You can also change wire/wireless mode, control volume, profiles, and device compatibility with buttons. This controller feels great in the hand. It is comfortable to hold, and the buttons are placed where I am already used to. The buttons have more travel than the PS5’s which I prefer. The triggers feel nice and smooth, and travel can be adjusted when needed. The default circular D-pad is not my favorite, so I am glad that a traditional cross D-pad is available. The analog sticks have a lot of travel and are loose, but again they can be tightened with the included rings. The caps feel good, and I went with the concave, although the dome option also feel good. I disabled the back buttons as I kept pressing them, but I am still glad they are there. Also, these back buttons can be modified. I do wish the volume and mode buttons were swapped as I pressed them a few times by mistake. The controller can be further optimized via PC software. Customizing the controller can be a bit intimidating and needs some patience as the app is extremely robust. However, if you like to tinker, you can change trigger response, stick travel, mapping, lighting effects, equalizer and test the controller. As I said, it does take some time and trial and error, but when it’s all done, you will be happier for it. I personally changed very little, leaving Sensitivity Plus off and delay as is. You can assign profiles per console, which can be accessed with the button on the controller. I am a bit disappointed that while the Nanco Rev Pro is PS licensed, it is lacking some quality-of-life options such as turning on the PS5, the vibration is hit-and-miss and shockingly not available on PS5, there is no gyroscope support, and needs a dongle that occupies a USB port on the console. As a Pro controller, I could make the case for it because of the tremendous number of customizations available. However, I still think that there are some features that I miss that other “pro” controllers have for almost the same price, and for gamers that just want a simple controller, the features may go over their head. While this may not have taken the PS5 controller’s place, it did become my daily driver for my PC.

Great controller and love the fact I can customize it a lot. Coming from Xbox to PlayStation this have been a great aid.

After coming from Xbox and the Elite V2, I was excited to give this controller a chance. Everything works. I do appreciate the feeling of the buttons. Now the controller does feel plastically out of the box, but once the weight is added it does feel a lot more premium. The placement of the rear buttons are strange and take some time getting used to. IMO nothing beats paddles but this is okay. Also, keep in mind there is no rumble feedback for PS5 users.

Out of the box I really wanted to like this controller, came with a very nice case, love the organization case for the weights and differnt thumbsticks, and a nice long braided USB C cable to connect it. On the surface this controller looks great and is definitely built with quality but it just doesn't hold a candle to other elite or performance controllers that I own. I play mostly XBOX Series X on console but also still really enjoy playing my PS4. This controller was to not only play PS4 but also use on my Gaming PC. Pros - Feels nice in the hands with solid quality build and the rubber grip on the sides is nice compared to some of my other controllers - Weights, restrictors, and thumbsticks come with a nice case so you don't lose them - Long braided cable to plug into PS4/PS5/PC - LED lights to confirm settings or changes from the controller when not using the app on your PC - Hall Effect joysticks feel nice and I do like the customer 8-way directional pad but if also has the standard one you can swap out if you don't - You can connec a bluetooth headset or earbuds to the controller and load or tweak EQ settings from the different profiles on the controller - Larger face buttons that are flatter vs other controllers and have a good feel and responsiveness to them Cons - Circularity test way higher than test I ran on my Gamesir Hall Effect controller that I picked up a few months ago (see picture) - No mouse click setting or at least as close to mouse click as you can get on a pro controller, still felt the throw on the triggers was too far for my liking in games like COD/Apex/The Finals without having to tweak the deadzone settings in each game if available - Rear button placement is not comfortable and placement is too far in towards the middle even for me and I have larger hads so compared to my SCUF Instint Pro and the XBOX Elite 2 controllers I also use this bothered me when playing COD or other FPS games I heavly rely on those rear mapped buttons for - NO BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY TO MY PC...seriously Nacon for this price point I can't even wirelessly connect this controller to my gaming PC to use between the PS4/PS5 and the gaming PC - USB dongle to connect to the controller wirelessly to either the PS4/PS5 or my gaming PC which is ridiculous since it has the latest Bluetooth standard but is restricted to only leveraging that for headsets and earbuds - Overly complicated with all the toggles and buttons all over this controller, I had to watch mutiple You Tube videos and download the manual from their site just to figure out how to reprogram the rear buttons - Couldn't get the app to let me login to attempt to update/configure via my PC, everytime I try it says I haven't verified my email and after a dozen times clicking the button to send me the email and never receiving it I just gave up and uninstalled the app from my PC Overall I had high hopes for this when I saw it and looked at the specs but there are a lot of downfalls or challenges with this controller. I definitely recommend you try to physically hold one and determine if you feel the way I feel about the rear buttons if you are a big user of them. For some they may like the placement but me personally it just isnt' comfortable for me when playing. Lack of bluetooth connectivity or having to constantly move a USB dongle between Playstations and PC to use this controller is annoying to say the least. At this price point there are just too many shortcummings to spend this amount of money for this controller.

Nice overall controller. Bought it because of all the stick drift with the PS controllers. It takes some getting used to due to the buttons layout and features it has. But overall like the controller. The stock movement is a little weird at first. But recommend it

I like the customization and button placement. However, it's heavy and has huge bulges on the back of the handles that make my hands cramp during FPS games. The added bulk makes it harder to reach the back buttons. It's really uncomfortable for smaller hands. I bought this because my PS5 Dual Sense got stick drift in only 3-4 months and I prefer the button layout of the Switch Pro and Xbox controllers. I also purchased it open box excellent to try it out and the charging port was damaged/ wouldn't stay connected. Close to perfect controller if they modeled the overall shape more like Xbox/Nintendo Pro controllers instead of the uncomfortable shape of Playstation controllers.

This overall the perfect controller for me. It’s a little big, possibly a little bigger than an Xbox controller (also configured like one, layout wise). Overall if you’re fine with it being on the bigger side it’s worth it. I use it on Ps5 and compared to a few others I’ve used this is by far the best. Absolutely no input lag what so ever and it connected seamlessly. Also this controller comes with weights that you can put in the handles along with to paddle style buttons on the bottom (there’s also a paddle like button about where your ring finger would be for added options). The controller also has to modes preset and custom . It can also be connected using the BT dongle included or by wiring it directly with its charger (also battery life is decent but I haven’t paid much attention to it I believe it lasts around a week @ about 5 hrs of play time a day maybe more ).

This is the DualSense Edge and the Elite 2 controller blended together to make the perfect PC controller. The problem with that is, that doesn't mix well. You've got the Playstation logo on the controller, but it wants to be the Xbox Elite controller. The controls work well as the ladder, but the button layout doesn't play well with playstaion. It has the body for a PS 4 and control design scheme of an Xbox controller. I don't like to call out different brands, but it is kind of important to give an accurate visual of the build. Sony will not allow for the rumble feature to work on the PS5, so ax that idea unless you're using a PS 4 or a PC. Using it on my PC, I felt like it was smooth and responsive even though my PC doesn't support the DualSense format, but it will let it run like an Elite. I like that it comes with a nice carrying case, because there's a lot of hardware to unpack. You've got the controller, a really long type C charging cable, PC dongle, and box of controller accessories including but not limited to thumb sticks and D pad. This is a well built controller. I like the way it feels in my hands, but it doesn't make me want to put my actual DualSense Edge or Elite 2 controllers away. I like the battery power of the controller compared to the DS Edge, but it's just not worth the trade-off when I'm using the cable more often than not, on PC. And when on the PS 5, it just makes sense to stick with the licensed controller. After all, they're the same price. If that's the deciding factor, go with the name brand that does everything you want it to do. It's only the better option if you're playing on PS 4.
