All of the praise and awards this amp has won is well deserved! I'm a bit of a audio enthusiast who has owned a variety of amps such as Adcom and Hafler among others. This amp more than holds its own against amps 5 times the price. Don't be fooled by the low output specs. This amp will drive the most difficult speaker loads without breaking a sweat. Very musical and can be used with a variety of devices. NAD has been producing audiophile gear at budget prices for years and this amp carries on that tradition with pride.

Years ago I owned an NAD amp and pre-amp as the core of my stereo system. So when I recently decided to put a music system in my office, I was glad to see that NAD had a "modern" option to consider. After reading a number of favorable reviews across several websites, I decided to purchase it ... and I haven't been disappointed one bit. I use the D-3020 with a Sonos Connect and a pair of reference monitors. It is compact, attractive, and the perfect companion for the Sonos. Bluetooth works great too (although I don't use this much). Most important, the sound is amazing, whether set for normal or high volumes ... very crisp. The D-3020 is pricey, but I only purchase top-quality electronics for my home, and I'm very satisfied.

I wanted a very good sounding, small system, that would sound great at low, or high volumes, but wouldn't thump my wife and son too much in our smallish space. I have a couple options for loud, shake the walls kind of listening. I am using this with a Mac and iTunes and a pair of MatinLogan Motion 4 speakers. No subwoofer, no bass boost turned on. Neither the amp nor the speakers need extra bass for my purpose. But, I love reggae and rock, and more, so bass is important to me. The bass is perfectly clear, and detailed, in perfect proportion to the crystal clear mids and highs. I was going to get a larger, more expensive amp, but went for this one for the size and price, and hope that it would sound excellent. It does sound fabulous. It seems to run a bit hot, to me, but it could just be me, my last amp was dropped a long ways by my cat, it works still, but runs hot, and I might just be paranoid now. But, it doesn't seem to affect the performance at all, and hopefully it won't affect the life span. The remote I would give 2 stars, but that is too insignificant to lower the overall stars. Hopefully the remote will last at least several years before dying. But, I am super pleased with this purchase.

Using this amp with my Bowers and Wilkins 685 s2 and this amp is perfect. For its size and tonal quality, i am definitly impressed. Plenty of power for the 685s to drive them louder than you need them. Maintains full range even when you plug in a sub.

We were looking to replace our old Harmon Kardon receiver which was large and an energy hog. This little amplifier packs a punch, is slim and small, and uses far less energy. A great win-win ... win!
