Sounds great and easy to setup with LG UST projector and Chromecast. I was not familiar with the Nakamichi brand. But after reading Popular Science's "The best wireless surround sound systems in 2023" article, and read through the reviews, I decided to buy this due to its high performance, good price, and packed with latest technology and standards.

I purchased this system on Amazon when it first came out as an upgrade for my previous 7.1.4. The new drivers and Nakamichi's improved processing makes this soundbar sing in my bedroom! That 10 inch sub is no joke either, this system has to be the best bang for your buck currently.

This soundbar system is for real! Booming, room shaking bass from a single subwoofer. The surround speakers create spacious, immersive sound with Atmos. Technology sure has come a long way in the last 25 years, from when I built my first 5.1 system out of separate components. Now you can get 7.1.4 in a convenient box!

Less than a month and bass tube has a short. Will never buy this brand again.

There's setup is absolutely amazing. The deep bass all the way up to the highs sound just fantastic! I've been blown away how easy it was to setup and get amazing sound. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a wireless system or any system! It's really that good!

Nakamichi Shockwafe Pro 7.1.4 Atmos Soundbar w 10" Wireless Sub+eARC+SSE Max has blown me away. The sound is incredible compared to my previous Dolby Atmos Vizio soundbars I had. After i bought my first one for my 3D enabled Arc tv, I was hooked. I bought this second one for my sony earc dolby atmos tv and will not go back to Vizio soundbarsand dont get me wrong the Vizio was ok. I truly feel im getting the next best thing to being in a movie theatre. Bass is powerful and dialogue is crisp and clear. Im just super impressed with theses soundbars. Dont hesitate its worth the purchase.

The downside = Only old-school audiophiles are familiar with Nakamichi (currently) so, If you're looking for a name brand to brag about to your friends, you'll be let down as they look at you thinking it's one of those generic brand names on Amazon. I Introduced the system to my father in law last week and he was giggling with a giant smile as the scene on the screen developed and he was wrapped in sound. BOOOM! The base shakes the whole couch. He starts laughing telling his wife "get in here and feel this", she says "I can feel it from here". The Volume goes to 100 and I had the system on 23. You can argue all day about what might be better on the "Top shelf" of surround sounds but this system is firmly "Top shelf" in every way. If you research the company and reviews, you won't find anyone that equals their desire to make a happy customer. Get it!

Nakamichi sound is suberb! after scanning the qr code on box cover, Easy setup. Pairs nicely. Presets are good and easily accessible on the remote. Best system

I bought this soundbar system a couple of months ago and have been very happy with it. I needed a system with a soundbar that doesn't fire upward due to my mounting situation and this is one of very few like that. The sub is more than powerful enough for my condo and I love the remote control; it's not the most high tech looking but is very well laid out with a dedicated button for most anything you need to do with any frequency. The 9.2.4 system would surely be more immersive but this one is pretty good while being quite low-profile.

Purchased for home theatre room and it sounds incredible. Atmos is great with sound seeming to come from everywhere! I bought a second one for our bedroom as well. Best bang for the buck!

I've had this soundbar for about a couple months. I've been very happy with it so far. I really like how it sounds. My only regret is maybe not getting the 2 subwoofer version of this, but ultimately, I think this form factor works better for me in my home. I would recommend this to any of my friends and family.

Excellent product. Very easy set-up. Linked this to my Sony TV and it was easy as 1-2-3. Really enjoy the sound- amazing difference when gaming / watching movies. the subwoofer has great kick when listening to music and during explosions. highly recommend- especially for the price point.

I ended up buying an open box return around black Friday. So glad the guy at BestBuy stopped me from buying one of their many black Friday deals on a 2.1 channel sound bar that I went in for that wouldn't have changed my sound quality. Needless to say, this was mush needed. The base sound is awesome and the open box price was better than most of the black Friday deals they had on other 7.1.X and 9.1.X soundbars.

Awesome sound quality for minimal effort. This Nakamichi soundbar kít with the wireless subwoofer and rear surround speakers sounds fantastic. Whereas I was getting “tinny” sound from my tv’s speakers before, I’m now getting surround sound with booming bass and clear voice when watching movies. This system has really made my movie watching experience so much more enjoyable than before… and all at a fraction of competitor brands and so much less effort than running a traditional wired surround AV system.

This was easy to connect, and now controls my TV, AppleTV and Soundbar all via my AppleTV remote. Much easier than the previous system I had with a traditional AV receiver and 7.1 system. My wife could never figure out which remote controlled the sound or TV before. Rear speakers are wired to the subwoofer which surprised me but worked in our setup.

I purchased this to upgrade my previous system I had. It was an older model of their system without earc. With my previous system I found customer service very helpful and responsive. This new system amazes me at what sound quality it can put out. It comes pretty close to my denon receiver setup. Don't go for the more expensive system from other more well known brands. This one produces better sound and will have much better customer service.

Sounds great bass is really good surround sound is great on movies and it is really easy to setup

The Nakamichi Shockwave 7.1.4 is an absolute game changer. Not only it was very easy to set up, but it sounds really awesome even without adjustments. Once you do a couple of adjustments to accommodate your setup, OMG... It just sounds awesome... If the Shockwave 7.1.4 sounds this good, I can only imagine how the new Nakamichi Dragon will be...

This surround sound setup truly feels like you're bringing a movie theater into your home. eArc is a wonderful feature allowing tons of connectivity, and the sound quality is incredible. This also opens up many more high quality streams with no transcoding on our emby server, since much of the dolby vision content is 7.1 surround.

I spent months researching soundbars at various price points and ultimately landed on this one. I’m pleased to say I made the right decision. Amazing sound (atmos will make you duck when a plane flies overhead) and no shortage of volume or bass. If you’re looking for a soundbar that can deliver true home theater sound that won’t break the bank, this is it.
