The Shockwafe wireless 11.2.6 is an absolute upgrade over my very good sonos arc ultra set. Absolutely love the Shockwafe wireless

    Great Atmos Sound

I am sure glad I upgraded my old Nakamichi system for this new 11.2.6 Nakamichi. The Dolby Atmos sounds are leaps and bounds better than the old system. Clarity and overhead sounds are absolutely movie theater quality. I couldn't be more satisfied.

    Shock wave is amazing

Hands down the best sound system I’ve owned. The audio is extremely clean, sharp, and precise—it honestly tricks your brain into thinking you're listening to a full component receiver setup rather than a soundbar. The bass is unbelievable: super deep, punchy, and crystal clear without any distortion. Movies and music sound incredible on this thing. Highly recommended if you want serious power and clarity!

Nakamichi Shickwafe is the best sounding sound bar I have purchased. This system is made with quality materials, great price and extremely loud. Bo need to go to the theatre anymore when you can have it in your home. Awesome bass and quality sounds.

    Great system!

We are very pleased with our Shockwafe 11.2.6 purchase up to this point. The system blew us away with its performance. The Dolby Atmos is truly awesome and an elevated experience. One of the nice bonuses of this system was how easy it was to set up. Everything was paired and it truly was plug and play. Very glad we went with the Nakamichi 11.2.6!

This has been a major upgrade from my old Nakamichi Shockwafe system. The wireless allows a lot flexibility for placement in any major room setup. The sound is also amazing. Though you will need to properly calibrate with the app or somethings do sound a bit overpowered compared to others. Other than that, it's been a solid investment for my home theater setup.

Absolutely top of the line soundbar

First of all, this thing really is a beast of a system, both in size and power. Most days I only keep it around 10% volume because it absolutely goes hard and can handle any size room. But the build quality is super solid, everything shipped extremely quickly and was very professionally packaged so no damage would come to anything, lots of very dense foam padding molded so nothing would move. There was a hole in the subwoofer box but the packaging made sure none of that damage from shipping impacted the subwoofers themselves, which arrived pristine. Coming from Nakamichi's older sound systems from about 8 years ago, this is a huge upgrade in terms of firmware quality, the eARC handles handshaking more seamlessly than before, adjusting to changing sound signals on the fly much better. It was a seamless plug and play experience on a new TV, everything just worked out of the box. But I was still able to use the remote and the app to calibrate it to be even better suited to my room size and setting different profiles based on the content.

2026 best sound bar, and I have plenty in my lifetime. I was very surprised when I first unboxed it and once I got it very easily set up I was very happy and satisfying. It’s gonna be a while to see other companies try and beat this system. 100% happy !!

Powerful soundbar for our medium-sized living room

I've been shopping for a soundbar for a while to replace my aging Yamaha YSP-5600. I looked at LG, Sonos, Vizio, Samsung, and Sony options, but nothing had the complete package that this Nakamichi Shockwafe had. I pulled the trigger before Christmas, and I've been using it for the past 6 months. It's fantastic! I placed the dual subs in the recommended location (front left and front right), and combined with the soundbar, the audio quality is incredible. I have the soundbar mounted to my wall below my TV, and it's the perfect complement to a 65 or 70" display. Because I'm a nitpicky person, I am going to list a few little caveats, but none of these things are dealbreakers. The wall mount kit is pretty good, but because the soundbar is so deep, there is a bit of bounce/flex in the install. The wall mount bracket also didn't have enough holes to match my stud location, so I had to use a metal step bit to drill out some holes in the right spot. The Shockwafe works well with CEC, eARC, and my Apple TV, automatically turning on when I turn on the Apple TV. Most of the time. I'm not sure if it's quirkiness with Apple or Nakamichi, but about 20% of the time when I power up the Apple TV, the Shockwafe doesn't turn on with it, requiring a manual power-on. But once it's on, my Apple TV remote controls the soundbar's volume perfectly. Finally, I do wish the Shockwafe had 3 HDMI inputs instead of just two. In my old setup I had my PS5, Switch, and Apple TV all connecting to the soundbar, and then one HDMI cable running to the TV. In this situation, I have all devices instead connecting directly to the TV and then one HDMI cable connecting back to the Soundbar. This may actually be preferable in the long run, but it did require me to re-run some in-wall cables because they weren't long enough. Probably worth it in the end though! All in all, this is a great system, and I have zero regrets buying it 6 months ago. I love it!

Movie Audio Quality Experience from a “Sound Bar”.

When I initially purchased the system I received and emailed asking my to make sure I understood the size of the system. I responded to the email that I checked the measurements and please proceed to ship. Three days later it was here, and I wished that I had the suggested second person to receive, unpack and set up everything. This setup is not for the weak. I’m still sore for fighting boxes up stairs to its final setup location. With no speaker wires setup is a breeze, a truly welcome experience. Next is the demo, ok I’m impressed. I have spent the last few days really watching different movies and progressing through the many options to hear the differences and what I like. I run the system volume no louder than 10 for the room it is in. It’s more than enough but, the right movie will push that I’m sure. I’m still wanting a good movie with Dolby Atmos to test the true nature of the overhead effects. A quick google search and I have a short list that I’m excited to experience. This is the crown jewel of my new setup, it certainly makes my home theater a true movie going experience. Would purchase again in a heart beat.

    Very Impressive

Quality is not a product, but a process. And the quality of this is noticed immediately after you cut the tape on the top of the box and open. The packaging is impressive. The subs were wrapped in fabric as well as the main. The instructions are detailed and thorough so I recommend reading before setting up. The spatial sound is surprisingly clear and crisp. The sheer intensity this system puts out is not only audible, but you can literally feel it.

    More than happy!!

Before purchasing the Nakamichi 11.2.6, I was happy with the Samsung Q990D sound bar system. I kept seeing and reading reviews about how the new shockwafe was being called the mini dragon or the Dragon’s little brother. I’ve never had the opportunity to listen to a Dragon but after setting up and “tuning” the shockwafe I was immediately convinced I made the right decision with the purchase. The bubble effect is real. The Nakamichi Shockwafe Wireless is superior to the Samsung Q990D in every aspect. With how good the shockwafe sounds I can’t even imagine what the Dragon would be like. Those of you reading this review and are on the fence, fall to the Nakamichi side, you won’t be disappointed.
