I was surprised how much I liked this series. It is very entertaining.

Bates Motel, Season - 1, offers an insider's look into the mind of the horror classic's main character, Norman Bates. His early relationships with the community, friends, family, and his mother describe what would come to be years before it actually happens. While set in a contemporary time period, it echoes the original while maintaining its characters integrity.

The plot of The Bates Motel, is suspensful and interesting. A wonderful look into what made Norman Bates character in Psycho. I can't wait until season 3 comes out. Whenever I am bored I watch the first two seasons over again.

A great show that grabs your interest and makes you want to keep watching to see what happens next. Can't wait to view other seasons. Freddie Highmore is absolutely perfect as Norman Bates, and Vera Fermiga is a great choice as Norman's mother.

Hitchock's Psycho showed us how Norman Bates' story ends. Bates Motel takes back to the start of Norman's tale. Not everything is as expected; but, then again, the unexpected is what makes Norman's story so much fun. Which brings us to Mother. Come for Norman, stay for Norma. She's the show's secret weapon.

The relationship to Psycho is perfect!! The theme, acting & suspenseful story are all very well done. Each episode will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to watch more. "Vera Farmiga" plays the best paradisiacal mother role.This is my preferred way to watch the TV Episodes without interruption.

Missed some or all of season 1 of Bates Motel? This DVD is a great way to see what you missed. Season 1 obviously sets the stage for subsequent seasons. Lots of shocking details in season 1 help explain the character flaws of the Bates family and of the wacky and evil town characters in their new home. Gotta see it to believe it!

I bought this as a birthday present for a friend but I also LOVE this show. It starts off grabbing your attention right away and only gets better as it goes. I would highly recommend this show to anybody and everybody.

This is a great concept, in getting to know Norman & what made him into what he is,& also the secrets within the White pine bay community,the performances by Freddie Highmore(Norman) &Vera Farmiga (Mom) are really good! their twisted relationship is disturbing, no wonder Norman turns into a Psycho!! Highly Recommend.

The first time I watched Bates Motel, I found myself immediately hooked, wanting to keep watching episode after episode in order to find out what happened next. The show is very addictive, as it really keeps your attention.

This is honestly a great tv. There's so much twists and turns. I am honestly entertained the whole episodes. Even though we kinda all know what happens in the end I am still drawn to watch it. The actors are so great!

I'm a sucker for anything related to horror movies. I checked this out regardless of reviews. The visuals were remarkable. The acting was powerful. In the age of streaming, I tend to buy physical copies of media for the extras. I was slightly disappointed. The only extra was a comic-con like Q and A that was over an hour.

I give the first season 5 stars but was worth 10. Would highly recommend that my friends purchase this product.

Bates motel is promising. It has a lot of suspense, The show focuses on the relationship between Norman Bates and his living mother, Norma. Just plain creepy.

I love this show. The story is great and the cast is fantastic. I can't wait for season 2 to be released on DVD.

Bates Motel is a very entertaining show. The characters are all very different but, it all somehow works. I look forward to viewing it every week.

Bates Motel looks into Norman Bates' past to see how he becomes the Psycho we all know and love. In the first season you can see how his over protective mother shapes him into the adult he will become.

This DVD was awesome I watched the show during the season but wanted to be able to watch over and over.
