Although the sub-titles did not work and all the Mexican illegal immigrants all spoke Spanish the arch-villain character played by Jeffery Dean Morgan effectively carried the movie – his character actually hated the Mexican illegals and thoroughly enjoyed assassinating them as they crossed in the desert U.S.-Mexican border area. At first the view was clumsy due to the language barrier, but after getting into the swing of things its view was most satisfactory. NOTE: The DVD sub-titles work very well. Recommend that the DVD be used vice Blu-ray.

Desierto shows you the struggle of immigrants trying to get to America from Mexico. What it also shows you is the hatred people have in their hearts when it comes to this topic(now more than ever). Jeffrey Dean Morgan, just like in the Walking Dead plays the bad guy and does an excellent job of it. I am starting to feel like he loves to be the antagonist! Without giving away a whole lot, he is out hunting with his dog and sees the immigrants trying to come through to America. One by one he begins to pick them off thinking he is doing a service to his country. The movie moves forward until a final scene with himself and one of the immigrants. I highly recommend seeing this film!

Is the border once again where illegals try to enter the USA for a better life. They face a bad hombre, an ex soldier still patriotic but disenchanted with the handling of the problem. Taking matters into his own hands, he hunts down the illegals by killing them like animals. In a reversal of survival, the hunter becomes the hunted by the last survivor of the illegals. Touchy subject but good action.

Given today's political environment and social understanding at the U. S. border, a possible development into brutal action by any patriot with pride. Yet the victims, although seen as invaders into the land of the free, force you to live their lives in this brutal attack for survival. This movie does not hold back from where the two sides stand and the implications and consequences.

A decent thriller with Jeffery Dean Morgan as the start. Love his work on TWD as the villainous Negan, so pretty much anything else he does I would consider checking out.

This movie makes you think about the possibility that this might actually happen. Thankfully there isn't much talking because its subtitles. Definitely action packed.

I bought this movie because a friend I work with said it was good. Didn't let me down. Great movie.

Was not sure about getting this movie but glad I did. The acting was super and the story line was interesting.

This is the reality in the south border,thousands of people trying to come to USA for a better life,our governments in Latin America has denied a chance for their own people,corruption is a big virus,God bless America.

I didn't expect this movie to be as good as it was. I bought it because it had 2 of my favorite actors. I'm glad I got it. It was an intense thriller. Jeffrey Dean Morgan never disappoints!

You can never go wrong with Gael Garcia Bernal. He's an amazing actor. However, Dean Morgan is incredible in this film. If you think you hate him as Negan wait until you watch this film.
