The Righteous and the Butterfly is a solid album from the veteran metal band Mushroomhead and marks the long awaited return of J-Mann. This is one of the more emotional albums MH has released to this point. My initial exposure to QWERTY after the album was released was less than positive. However, the song has grown on me and is one of the stronger songs of this album. If you're a longtime fan of Mushroomhead, this album may not hit you right away, but if you give it a chance, it will surprise you. The vocals have never been stronger, the musicianship is technical and the every track has something catchy about them in one way or another. I wasn't a huge fan of Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children, which became my biggest hesitation and with the significant line up changes, I had little hope for this album. I am happy to admit that I was wrong. This is a good album and probably my favorite after XX. Pick it up and you won't be disappointed.

I bought this on a whim after going to one of their live shows with a friend. These guys are awesome live...weird and bizarre but that's what makes them unique. This is what Faith No More would sound like if they were a heavy metal band!!

Arguably there best cd to date. Thanks to the return of Jay Man. Along with Waylon and Jeffrey Nothing the mix of new and old and the result is as powerful as anything done before. All the gang are killing along with a new guitar and bass player. Your won't be disappointed. Checking out there new twist on there masks. They should also be touring soon and I can't wait to hear and see them live play this new music.

I remember when Mushroomhead first came out and it was amazing. There was a later album that I got that was disappointing. Now this new one though, EPIC!!! I don't have to miss them now, they're back again

This CD contains all three of Mushroomhead's vocalists at full power. The music itself sounds like it's gone back to it's roots with a bit of new flavor added in. If you like awesome beats, look no further.

The best part of this album is that not track sounds alike. Every song is unique and interesting. Mushroomhead takes a lot of chances on this record, and they pay off in the form of great songs.

If you like the old style Mushroomhead then you will like this CD. It is much better then that awful of an album they last released.

The return of Jmann brings back that missing element not found on their previous two releases. Solid album from a great band.
