very good it is a movie about the future when you can clone a human very very interest

make sure that you are not in a strange mind , cause it will make your mind wonder CAN THIS HAPPEN ? KEANU REEVES plays a very interesting person in this movie , keep both eyes OPEN !

Movies are great vehicles to tell the innumerable different stories of people's lives, events, and happenings as a result of some precipitating event. And especially the changes that are brought about by ordinary, even if deadly, car accidents. This movie, "REPLICAS," is such a vehicle. Keanu Reeves convincingly portrays an average-man's emotional psychology, who loses his entire family of four in a car accident. But Reeves as a neuroscientist is MORE driven by his brilliant mind who is on the verge of transferring human consciousness into a computer! Thomas Middleditch is wonderful as he plays a contemporary, "recruited" fellow scientist. Middleditch is pulled into helping to secretly "clone" Reeves' dead family bodies (all 4 of them, except one)! There are unexpected problems, complications, as well as the psychological and intellectual moral issues. (These "replicas" are not clones, AND DEFINITELY NOT ZOMBIES!!) These ambiguous-conflicting issues are all a part of the central plot. And Keanu Reeves is good at showing how the mind and emotions of an ambitious neuroscientist is driven by the tragic deaths from the car accident to create substitute "REPLICAS." And he always is a good actor with charismatic physicality! Again, he is here! This movie is interesting in many ways, just from the above-written underlying tensions, forces, conflicts, personalities, and nascent ideas appropriate to our time, the 21st Century. Alice Eve is a good-looking wife character who is photogenic to add to various scenes that move through the story. I especially like Alice Eve in the few "quasi-cat-and-mouse" pursuit scenes. Keanu still has to command the lead in this film, even in these non-primary "quasi-supporting-role" scenes played by Thomas Middleditch and Alice Eve. The impact of this film on me is similar to the impact on me as in the Keanu Reeves with Morgan Freeman film, "CHAIN REACTION." That impact to me, is that: "It is a good film, but not a great film!" Perhaps it's because such "car-accident-as-set-up" drivers of movie plots seem, time-and-time-again, to be unable to rise out of the innate mundane and topical nature that they are. Even CRASH is an excellent example of this type of topical start-up and set-up for WHATEVER follows -- No matter how unique and original the "WHATEVER that follows to make the developmental plot" IS. Even CRASH, to my mind, mostly won Oscar noms due to it's magnificent fine-actors, large ENSEMBLE cast! To wit, there is no large ensemble cast here in REPLICAS! Nevertheless, I bought this movie REPLICAS because I still enjoy it for a few future repeated viewings. I bought it due to the fine energetic topical performances by Keanu Reeves, Thomas Middleditch, and Alice Eve. This movie just PROBABLY won't ever reach my Top 10 films in any given referential point of my viewing habits and viewing life. Still 4 stars out of five (5) is still a good "like!" And all-in-all, obviously, still beats out 3 stars! Somewhere in time,... deeper than my Top 25 movies....

Keanu Reeves is always a joy to watch - his emotion, or rather, lack of emotion in his acting, adds that extra level of intensity. He always gives a good performance, and this movie is no exception. The subtle fear of the modern science fiction - that we will be replaced.

So many movies these days have a "super hero" or fantasy hero playing the lead. This is another one of those movies. Very similar to "I Robot" starring Will Smith; but, it still was a good movie with good action and had a better plot than most.

The point of creating a caricature in the first place is to bring to life someone or thing that the "Watcher" can relate too. Killing off Keanu Reeves work partner (Thomas Middleditch) with a bullet through the brain, was like killing off Robbin in reference to Batman. Not the smartest thing to do. I guess another point would be is to have as many caricatures available to open up as many storylines as possible for successful sequels. Just saying?!#

I did not recall that this movie had been in theatres. I assumed it must have been a flop. I am a big Keanu Reaves fan so I decided to give it a try, I was pleasantly surprised. If you don’t try and pick apart the science of the movie, I liked it.

I enjoy Reeves' films and this one is no exception. As is often the case, I was not aware that this film was available as I never saw it in theaters, but... It is worth the purchase price and without revealing more than one should, I can say that it is a decent film that does not disappoint. Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

I went into this movie, taking it very seriously. Halfway through I realized the main characters were named Will & Ed (Bill & Ted). That's when I knew this movie was smarter than the audience members who left the theater demanding refunds. If you're looking for a great time from legend Keanu Reeves and the always hilarious Thomas Middleditch, buy this movie. You won't regret it.

A different part for Keanu Reeves. It definitely was interesting, it has a mix of sci-fi, action and drama. Overall good story and good acting. Duplicating people taken to a new level.

Keanu has done it again, he can take a badly written movie and turn into something that is watchable. not a great movie by a long shot but a good popcorn movie at the least

First the video is nice and sharp on Blu-ray and looks good as most of the releases in the last few years. As to the actual movie itself, regardless of the movie was a flop and panned by critics, there’s plenty good to be had. Definitely worth the watch and this movie grows on me each time I watch it. Recommend!

This film is a great attention keeper with its unexpected turn of events. Imagine; What would you do in his shoes with abilities, knowledge & limited time??

If you are a fan of Kneau Reeves, if you like Matrix... you will enjoy Replica. Sit back, get comfortable and watch this movie. You will not regret it.

I know some of the reviews have given this a low rating but if you like movies like Ex Machina and series like Westworld you will enjoy this one too.

Keanu is having a career resurgence. It follows some of the typical tropes of this kind of movie, but it does end in a surprising fashion.

The action and suspense start about half way through the movie. However the ending was disappointing!! One watching would be enough

Good sci-fi but Keanu has been better. Little disappointed in the acting but pretty good story. Worth watching at least once or twice.

I liked the movie. Time was spent introducing characters and developing the base for story. Steady pace and I liked the ending.

Certain parts of the movie did not make since. But I liked the movie. Family is everything and you would do anything for them.
