The Beurer Pearl Fertility Kit is a great tool to track the optimal time to become pregnant naturally with a few areas for improvement. My wife used the product for one complete cycle prior to this review (29 days). Pros: * Setup instructions - The setup is done using the Beurer App. My wife found it very easy to use. It is as simple as following the onscreen directions. It tells you which test to use each day. * Measurement of hormones - The device tracks both FSH and LH and when compared to other test strips it was just as accurate. * Integrates with Apple health * Easy to get sample for the strips Indeterminate: * App - The app could use some further updating. It seems to be more focused on the being aesthetically pleasing with a large flower taking up 2/3rds of the screen than the important data it displays. My wife found it hard to read the small text at the bottom of the screen. She did note the app received an update which increased the font size slightly. * Number of provided strips - It would nice if it included enough strips for several cycles since it can take a while to truly track your menstrual cycle and fertility, especially if you are irregular. Cons: * Strip size - My wife found it difficult to grasp the strips due to the thin size. This also made it somewhat difficult to insert them into the device. * Data capture - The data from the strips is captured by the user’s cellphone/tablet camera. For some reason the camera on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max had difficulty picking up the strips even with good lighting. * Cost - My wife has used several other apps and strips which essentially track the same information for a fraction of the cost. Overall, my wife was pleased with the Beurer Fertility Kit. It tracks the necessary information to determine the most optimal time to become pregnant. I think with a few app updates, thicker strips, and a larger starter pack it would be a top contender.

My wife recently used the Beurer Ovulation Test Strips and Pregnancy Test Kit in order to try for our second child. We had been trying for five months prior with no luck. This last month, we decided to try this product. With the use of these strips and the app that corresponds with the kit, we were able to time everything correctly. As you can see in the photos, my wife is now pregnant! We truly think that we are expecting due to the support from using this kit. This product is very accurate, the design is simple to use, and the price point is perfect. Pros: The app is straightforward and walks you through every single step. After the first day or two, you understand how to use it completely. The app is also free and so simple to use. Each day, you capture a picture of the strips. The strips are then charted and the app reads your hormone levels. This is very accurate and tells you when exactly to start trying. The app tells you what strips to use. It also reminds you to chart if you have forgotten. There is no guesswork. The app interprets the strips for you. The price is perfect for possibly having to buy multiple rounds of strips. Overall, we are thrilled with this product and accredit it for this new pregnancy! In just one month of use, we have our first positive test after months of trying. We will highly recommend this to friends and family who are trying to conceive.

I am in the family planning process, again. My partner and I have never used a fertility tester like this before but I can say that I am very satisfied. The tracking kit comes with 32 testing strips (15 - LH 15 - FSH 2 - hGC) that can be used to track when the optimal time to conceive is. The sticks pick up the hormones through urine, similar to a pregnancy test. When these strips are used properly they synch (via test results captured with camera on phone) with the app it give a range of "best case "days. As I said before, we have never used a device such as this before but was very satisfied with the app, the tutorial video (QR code) and the instructions. All in all it has been pretty straight forward. This entire process can be scary for some couples but this kit made it easy and instilled confidence in us that we are attempting to conceive in the right times of her cycle.

Things I like: 1. Everything is color coded, from the strips to their packaging to their placement in the holder to the instruction manual to the graphics in the app; it makes it very clear which hormone you are supposed to be looking at. 2. Instruction manual gives a brief explanation of LH and FSH’s role and expected behavior throughout menstrual cycle. Although I’m sure it wasn’t intended for this purpose, the graph of a typical cycle’s peaks and valleys proved an excellent reference when I was reviewing my own cycle’s charts. Things I did not like or thought could have been done better: 1. One method of measuring is to dip the strips in a container of urine rather than holding them in your stream; it would have been nice if such a container was provided with the kit. Personally I wouldn’t sacrifice any food containers or waste plastic cups just to do this everyday indefinitely. 2. Inconsistencies in the kit, e.g. instructions have typos, strips do not sit flush compared to each other in holder, packaging for the same strip type have different locations of the tear indentation, instruction manual says to incubate for 10-15 min but app only has an automatic timer for 15, etc. Do these issues affect the kit’s ability to perform? Absolutely not. But inconsistencies in general tell me there's lack of care if their product is user friendly or standardized, which to me are some traits indicative of high quality (or at the very least consistent quality). 3. For tracking purposes, I would appreciate if the app allowed you to save and view the photos you’ve taken of the strip. Especially since the instruction manual tells you that the intensity of the strip result loosely indicates certain levels of hormones, I don’t just want to take the app’s interpretation of the intensity without being able to discern myself. Especially since you have the ability to delete a day’s reading and repeat it, maybe I want to see what I’m deleting before deciding it was a bad reading and waste a strip or two. 4. The camera is very buggy when taking photos. I’ve used the same backdrop at the same time of day in the same season and some days it takes photos perfectly, and other days even though I can clearly see the strips line up in the auto-detectable zone, the app fritzes and only captures one or none (furthermore sometimes it captures them crookedly, for whatever odd reason). 5. My biggest gripe comes from the perspective of being a professional medical technologist (the industry that performs your lab work). The app shows your hormone results in a graph form, and although Beurer is smart enough to not put any numbers to the Y axis to pretend like they’re actually “measuring” the quantitative values of your hormones (because they realistically can’t from a strip test), I feel like even giving the impression that the subtle changes in non-fertile hormone levels are detectable by this app is misleading. Especially given my observation about the camera being buggy, I can't reliably trust this to detect incremental changes in light/photon intensity from a smartphone camera that has no ability to create controls in lighting. Plus I’ve never seen a strip test be quantitative, and this kit will tell you inside and out that it’s not for diagnostic purposes and to confirm everything with your doctor, but the average user may not get that impression by looking at the pretty graphics. This leads to the though of, “If that’s not what you’re capable of doing, why do you present the user’s results as if you are?” I hope this makes sense. Would be great if a representative could explain this. A suggestion is to keep the results as a yes/no, threshold-crossing “you’re in this window now” type of interface to reflect what is actually scientifically happening. This isn't just my “impression” of what’s going on--the instruction manual tells you that less intense results roughly equate to non-fertile hormone levels, while more intense results roughly equate to fertile hormone levels. It must be difficult for the app to “detect” that my non-fertile levels are subtly going up and down day to day. Overall, in my view this is a work in progress. It's great that this exists to begin with, but it needs improvement.

As you get older it can become harder to conceive children. It can also be more difficult in the planning process if you already have other children. That being said being able to track yours or your partners cycle is the best way to plan a pregnancy. My wife and I are currently trying to have a child and we wanted to try this out to see if it would help us. Apps that track your cycle have been around a long time and so have ovulation tests. The nice thing about the Pearl Fertility kit is that it combines them both and allows you to import the tests right into the app itself. The kit also includes two pregnancy tests so that you are able to confirm whether or not you are pregnant. There are a couple downsides to this kit but they are not deal breakers. One is that it only includes enough strips for one cycle. Currently best buy is not selling additional strips and you can purchase them elsewhere but it is not as convenient. Another downside is that the app itself is not a good as some other standalone tracking apps. That being said it has one big advantage in that you import the actual test strips instead of the app guessing your ovulation days. Overall, if you are trying to get pregnant and whatever you have been doing is not working I believe this kit will help you to at least be able to confirm when you are ovulating and use the pregnancy test to confirm if you are pregnant or not.

    Great Kit, Very Reliable Planning

Fantastic kit to help with ovulation prediction and fertility tracking. Inside the box you will get 15 strips that test for FSh and 15 strips that test for LH, these are the most important hormones to test for ovulation and fertility. You will also get 2 pregnancy test strips as well as a reusable test strip holder. This also works with a smartphone app for iOS and Android. This has been fantastic. The app really helps sync all your data and helps you to track and plan accordingly. Super easy to use. For many, the fertility planning can be a stressful experience, but having this kit along with the companion app have made it stress free for us and we look forward to reviewing our charts throughout the month. You will take pictures of the test strips using the app, which will then help calculate your optimal days to conceive. I am glad we started using this and look forward to positive results soon.

    Interesting concept, some caveats

When considering having a baby it's always best to know when are the best times to try to conceive. This fertility kit really gives you an extensive amount of that knowledge and flexibility to be aware of where you are daily. To start, you unwrap two of the tests and insert them in the unit and take your sample. It suggests you do this first thing in the morning (similar to a pregnancy test, which by the way, it also checks for). The unit uploads the data to the app and allows you to follow your graph of fertility. It's extremely easy to use and intuitive. Really the only challenges we've had is this: --Because it wants you to take the sample first thing in the morning, generally when you get up and need to use the bathroom, having to open the packaging on two tests and wait to use the facilities it seems somewhat involved... If there was a one step way to prep it, it would help. We've thought about preparing it ahead of time, like night before, but was unsure about leaving the tests exposed to the air for hours and such. --The unit only comes with a one month supply of tests so there's an investment here if you need to track longer (which most women wanting to track in this regard will likely need it for more time). Overall it provides much more visibility to fertility than usually is available to a woman and could really enhance the opportunity and capability to conceive provided you understand the caveats.

The Beurer Pearl Fertility Kit does what it is intended to do. It measure the FSH and LH hormone in the urine through the use of 2 different test strips. Once the urine is applied to the test strip the beurer app is used to take a picture of the test strips and the data is logged on a daily basis. Through analysis of the LH and FSH levels the app is able to determine the 8 most fertile days in the cycle so that chances of conceiving are increased. My wife used the product for a whole cycle and she found that the test strips could easily be used without the holder. Essentially this is very similar to other strips on the market. She did have a few issues with the app and as other people have mentioned it took a little while for the app to capture the image of the strips. Overall she thinks that the Beurer fertility kit was fairly accurate however the strips could have just been made a little larger therefore eliminating the holder.

This not only helps increase your chances of getting pregnant, it tracks your progress in real-time using a specialized app. The app is polished and well-made and is very easy to use. Included in the kit is a holder stick that holds paper something akin to litmus paper and reads the sample which is then uploaded to your app and tracked under your profile. You can then use the metrics provided to accurately predict your best chances for getting pregnant. This is a great tool for couples who are "trying"

We are trying for our third one and wanted to know the fertility days and may be use the mythical calculator to conceive the girl baby The strip itself is very easy to use and test is done by testing the urine. There is an app which tells you your most fertile days. The app will test your LH and FSH level which will tell you when you are most fertile. The app will also tell you when to test.

This is my first time using a fertility tracker that measure FSH and LH at the same time, but that’s it! First of all, if you’re iPhone user, the app only works if you give it access to the Health data, which I don’t even use it, so I didn’t like that. The app itself has a pretty design and easy to follow instructions, and reading of the strips. It has a calendar to input your period. Then you follow the app on what strip to test that day. The blue (FSH) in the beginning of your cycle, both pink (LH) and blue during your fertile window, then just the pink until the end of that cycle. Talking about strips, the kit comes with enough for 1 cycle, so you have to buy a kit per cycle until you get pregnant, which can be costly. I use another fertility tracker that i can add more information, besides the LH strip analyzer, like the BBT, CM, physical symptoms, moods… I was missing that on the pearl app. Overall this is a easy and basic app and would recommend if you are new to the TTC world.

My husband and I are planning on trying to start a family within this next year. I use my Fitbit to keep track of my cycle and ovulation days, but when I saw this fertility tracker I was super interested. I’m a fan of anything that helps take the guess work out of an equation, or helps relieve some stress out of a situation and this seems like it could help in both those areas. The kit comes with enough test strips for 1 month and 2 pregnancy tests. The strips are super similar to the pregnancy tests in the sense that they pick up your hormones through a urine sample. To get your personal results, you have to download an app and take a picture of your strips within the app and then you’re given a range of days when your best chances of conceiving are. I had some trouble initially installing and setting up the app. It seems a little clunky and not completely intuitive, but with the help of a tutorial I got through it. i had no trouble “uploading” my test to get my results. All in all, I feel even more prepared and hopeful in the chances of starting my family sooner than later. I think this is a great tool and experience for anyone that is a little nervous about trying to conceive or has any questions about their fertility or cycles.

The setup and use is easy enough but i have yet to experience any results. Since this device is of a delicate nature and not an exact science its tough to gauge the results unless you get pregnant within a timely fashion using it.
