yes, yes...Geraldine is an instant stand-out track..but, should you dismiss this album? absolutely not!!! if you enjoy bands that actually play instruments, hypnotic vocals, harmonies, dreamy rock, the Ronettes, sincere honest music with no fillers, and an album that can take you through a musical journey...then, buy this self-titled debut! support the band. it's simply a great album that will grow on you. i soon found myself getting the sophomore release. and then, the home tapes release. i'm not a writer, just a big fan, so if you want better reviews, visit amazon. sample the tracks. buy there, buy here, but, just buy...and enjoy!
would i recommend it? of course i would, but my friends are dolts when it comes to music.

The first song I heard by Glasvegas was Geraldine and I loved it. I bought the album because I liked it so much. I was thoroughly disappointed to discover that the only good song on here was Geraldine. Save yourself the money, and just buy Geraldine. For me, that's the only stand out song on here. The rest of them all kind of sound the same to me. I know many bands who write way better lyrics than this and work ten times harder, so if you're looking for good music, look beyond NME and buy something that is a little more original than this.
