It does put the device to sleep however it took a little breaking in before the top would lay flat, it was a little stiff at first . I' m happy with it and would recommend it.

Nice but this does not work for iPad air 2

Great for looks

Do not buy if you want protection. Doesn't work for that. Mine cracked when it was dropped. It's thin and light which I love and doesn't add extra bulk. There are two flaws. The fabric on the back begins to unravel along the edges so you have to cut them before they get long and the front flap does not close all the way.

iPad Case

She has now used it for over two years and it's still without any tears or fractures within the plastic back protection for the unit. It as served her well as she is a bit rough around the edges.
