The Nanit Pro Camera has been a game-changer for our baby. The video quality is incredibly clear, even at night, and the sleep tracking insights are both accurate and helpful. I also love the breathing monitor feature its a MUST if you have a new born it's super reassuring without needing any wearables. The app is easy to use and lets me check in from anywhere. It’s a bit of an investment, but totally worth the peace of mind it provides.

The breathing bands are not always super accurate. You can’t swaddle your baby and use a breathing band and my baby didn’t like their sleep sacks. You have to also pay for your subscription after a year to the app. The camera works well and I do like the app.

Though as of 2/22/24, the "sleep" or basic tier of their insight is still listed at $50, you cannot purchase it at this price. CS told me that on 2/18 the price was DOUBLED even though they left the ad up still, from $50 to $100 for just basic breathing monitoring and cry detection, etc. I understand in this day and age the need to raise prices..... But double is not the way to go. If you are reading this close to the date I wrote it, on the app the "memories" tier is selling for $80. I bought that just because I need to breathing monitor to sleep better myself (so yes.... Feels a bit like they are taking advantage of parents fears here...). I will not be renewing after this subscription is done and we will be looking into a different monitor for baby #2 when they come along.

A High-Tech Solution for Peaceful Parenting

The Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor, coupled with the Floor Stand in White, has been an invaluable addition to my parenting toolkit. As a new parent, I was on the hunt for a reliable and high-tech baby monitor, and Nanit exceeded my expectations in several ways. Here's my honest review:
Pros:
Exceptional Video Quality: The Nanit Pro's video quality is top-notch. The 1080p HD camera captures clear and crisp footage of my baby, day or night. The infrared night vision ensures I can monitor my baby even in complete darkness.
Insightful Sleep Tracking: One of the standout features is the sleep tracking capability. Nanit provides detailed insights into my baby's sleep patterns, including how long they sleep, when they wake up, and sleep quality. This has been immensely helpful for establishing a sleep routine.
Two-Way Audio: The two-way audio feature allows me to soothe my baby with my voice or lullabies from my smartphone when I'm not in the room. It's a reassuring and comforting feature.
Breathing Motion Monitoring: The Nanit Breathing Wear (sold separately) provides real-time breathing motion tracking, offering an additional layer of safety and peace of mind for parents. It's incredibly accurate and reassuring.
Secure and Encrypted: Nanit takes data security seriously. All communication is encrypted, and the baby monitor complies with strict privacy standards, ensuring the safety and privacy of your family.
Seamless App Experience: The Nanit app is user-friendly and offers a seamless experience. It's easy to navigate, set up, and customize the monitor's settings to suit your preferences.
Floor Stand for Versatility: The included floor stand allows you to position the camera at the perfect angle to monitor your baby's crib. It's especially useful if you don't want to mount the camera on the wall or if you move the crib frequently.
Cons:
Price: The Nanit Pro, along with its accessories, is an investment. While the features justify the cost, it may be on the higher end of the price spectrum for some parents.
Additional Accessories: Some advanced features, such as the breathing motion monitoring and sleep tracking, require purchasing additional Nanit accessories, which can add to the overall cost.
Wi-Fi Dependency: The Nanit Pro relies on a stable Wi-Fi connection. If your Wi-Fi experiences interruptions or downtime, it could impact the functionality of the baby monitor.
Initial Setup Time: Setting up the Nanit Pro, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi network and installing the camera in the right position, can take some time and patience.
In summary, the Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor with the Floor Stand is an excellent choice for parents who value the combination of advanced technology and peace of mind. Its exceptional video quality, sleep tracking, and breathing motion monitoring features set it apart in the market. While the initial cost and the need for additional accessories may be a consideration, the investment is worth it for the insights and reassurance it provides. As a parent, I've found the Nanit Pro to be an indispensable tool for ensuring my baby's safety and well-being, and it has made parenting a more informed and confident journey.
