Customers frequently mention the brightness and ease of use as significant advantages, with many praising the compatibility with Apple HomeKit and the fast response time. However, some users experienced connectivity problems and difficulties with firmware updates. The affordable price point is also a frequently cited positive aspect.

Nice product. I don’t know if these are any better than the others on the market. I bought them for their HomeKit functionality. They work as expected. I use them primarily for the holidays to change my garage driveway lights.

With the inclusion of thread, my lights function immediately as I press the button on my phone - no more waiting. It eases congestion from my wifi network, so my speeds and reliability have improved. If you use HomeKit, these lights are the ones to get (FYI, these are not the ones equipped with Matter),

I was really excited to get Thread-compatible bulbs from a good brand. But these have been a surprising downgrade compared to my Wyze bulbs (aside from the HomeKit integration, which is a plus). I had frequent connection issues at first, although those got better recently. But the color calibration is also terrible. When I try to set two bulbs to the same color, they're visibly different. And when I set a bulb that's a 'candlelight' color to 1% brightness, it instead turns RED.
Thinking I might replace these before much longer.

Sorry you are having trouble with your Nanoleaf Bulbs, but know that we're always working to improve everything from the technical and the user experience perspective, so those things are only going to get better over time. If you had difficulty in color calibration, please check if you have the latest firmware updates and if the issue still stays the same, please reach out to our support team who would be happy to do some troubleshooting for you.

Misleading.. Does Not work with Google Home

This bulb has a great design and color selection. However it is misleading to say it works with Google Home. I was able to connect the bulb successfully to Nanoleaf app as well as HomeKit but they made the Google integration horrible. Rather than use the same approach as their “Shapes” series with adding devices to Google Home through “Works with Google” they decide to make you add this bulb the same way you add a Google Home Hub. However no matter how many factory resets and router resets, Google will not recognize this bulb at all. Very unfortunate and reason to return for me as I use Google Home for all my smart devices.

These actually work pretty well with Apple's "Homekit". We can tell Siri "Hey Siri, turn on the livingroom light", and she does. Even if we get mixed up and say "downstairs light" she figures it out. But...
The lights seem to need to be rebooted fairly frequently (just turn off the socket, wait 10 seconds, then turn it on again). Then they are OK for a while.
One of the bedside lights is set to 20% brightness, which is nice - it stays that way.
We played with the colors for a while, but now just go with the default (time of day hue) and that's fine.

One of the easiest smart bulbs to setup with HomeKit is you’re using with apple products. I can’t speak to Google or Alexa. Does everything the Philips Hue does but this was cheaper.

Fast response, colors are bright and clear. Love that they support thread as well which makes the response time a lot smoother and less laggy.

Best Light considering the price does more of a similar task as Philips hue. The app needs more work but solidly built bulbs

Purchasing these Nanoleaf A19 lightbulbs are the best decision I ever made. I currently have an original HomePod in one room where I have 2 out of the 3 lights being used in a ceiling fan. In another room, I have the third one being used as a lamp light where I have 2 HomePod minis.
Haven’t had any issues since installing them. I enjoy being able to control my lights now with just my voice or from the comfort of my seat or bed. I also enjoy being able to dim my lights that I couldn’t before and being able to select different lighting.

The threaded tech with these lights is great. They are super responsive in my HomeKit setup. BUT, if you have a problem with one (i.e.: I can't get the firmware to update in one new bulb) be prepared for an arduous process with Nanoleaf tech support. I've been working with them for over a week within their "24 hour, 7 days a week" tech support system. It's a frustrating hassle. So cross your fingers that you get a good bulb when you buy one.

The white and warm white colors are pretty good, but the colors are a little too dim for my taste. The actual functionality is great though.

Cool light that I use in our basement. It is frustrating at times because it won't connect to my Google home and sometimes disconnects from the app. If it wasn't compatible with my nanoleaf elements I would definitely have gone with a different light
