So many options for lighting and effect just from using the app

These were great until the last app update, now you can only download their pre loaded light sequences before you could make up your own, the app is much more difficult to use now and quite frustrating

The lighting is pretty cool but the app is finicky and has connection issues. I purchased Philip hues lighting a few weeks prior and their app was far more functional and less frustrating. The lighting effects are beautiful but not worth the headache the app gives you. I'm returning both sets.

I have never gone from liking to hating a product so fast. I Bought two for my apartment to go behind my desk, they at first where nice for the rgb-ness however I soon realized that I liked having them for the light they provided to that corner of my apartment. However here is where the issues started, the app is awful its slow its clunky at best and half the time it just crashes on my Note 10+ which should have no issue at all running it. These claim to be compatible with the Samsung smart things app I cant confirm or deny as that app (that actually works) couldn't find the lights. This leads me into my next point pairing the device's, it awful. You go through the normal process of finding the device when plugging it in and then entering your Wi-Fi code ( more on this in a moment ) and then it will pair and update awesome all fine and dandy. Until the app fails to update the devices and you get to restart the whole process over again several times potentially. Ahh but you have finally finished the update and paring process you can now scroll through that clunky app to find and customize your own lighting schemes. Now remember when I said id come back to the Wi-Fi code entering and pairing process, well you better get ready as any time the power goes out, you turn your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth off on your phone (yes really) you will have a 50/50 chance of the lights either pairing back perfectly fine or not connecting at all ever again.......... hope you enjoyed that pairing process as you will need to do that a lot. Literally one of the worst "smart" devices I have ever used and unfortunately I'm outside the return window by a fair margin should've saved the money and just gotten a 30 dollar lamp. Save your money these are garbage at best and at worst its dog poop in a dumpster fire. As a side note mine came with the rhythm module so that the lights would beat to the music I cant tell you if it was good or not as neither of the 2 modules would ever work.

This light really sucks disconnects from HomeKit and even Alexa the only help I get from nanoleaf is “Have you tried unplugging it for 10 seconds?” Or “Try resetting it” and that does help but the problem is I just into the same problem every day so if you want it to work I’ll have to hard rest it every day sometimes multiple times a day I’ve gotten tired of doing them I took it off my Home app and set it up by my door and manually turn it on anytime I want it on

Definitely cool lights. Only downfall is you have to constantly reset the connection to your phone to control them. I wouldn't spend the money on them. the novelty wears off quick.

Pictures don't really do this product justice. I am a big fan of home automation and Philips Hue so I was very interested in a new kind of product. A friend suggested this to me and I bought it within 5 minutes.I love everything about it. Customizable, easy to set up, easy to control with Alexa (doesn't need a hub) Looks amazing and has great color. Syncing to music is very cool. Already working on expanding my system. Works as light and as art. 90 degree connectors are available on nanoleafs website so you can have it run up wall then on to the ceiling and/or around corners. It's easy to customize the colors and have it make interesting effects based on whatever color palate you can imagine. You can also pick and choose what color each panel should be if you want. Really not many limits to what you can do. Use the tutorial on the app. Takes 5 to 10 minutes to figure out and will be much easier for yourself.

If I could give it no stars I would. I am a very tech savvy person and these were not easy to sync with the app and Alexa originally. We got it working, then within a week, they stopped working. We started a ticket with Nanoleaf 8 days ago and have zero resolution. We have done 20 soft and hard resets. We almost had it working on the last hard reset, but after we synced with the app and Alexa, the whole thing shut off and won't power on again. According to other forums, the power controller has been the problem. We have received minimal "help" from nanoleaf support after the 2nd day. It took them a week to try to watch the video of us setting it up only to say they couldn't open it... we sent new ones and we have yet to hear anything. This is very frustrating and sad because these were a birthday present for my 13 year old and it is likely an easy fix to send us a new controller. Of course, we also tried to do things right by going through nanoleaf first, instead of pulling it off the wall and returning to best buy. My mistake because now I'm a few days too late for the best buy return. Getting no love from anyone from nanoleaf and best buy.

bought as a gift for my son, very expensive, lights are cool, can't get them to sync with the app. contacted the company several times for help.. no response.

It’s fun to use when you’re in the room that it’s in, can’t just move it around as the clips are kinda fragile. It’s a good thought but for us not really worth it. Great for a party room that is used.

This product looks good but a little difficult to set up as well as the app keeps freezing, would be great if they could just fix the software bugs.

After waiting months to purchase these, they were a huge let down. They could not sync with the app (required for full use) and tech support had me run some resets, none of which worked, ended up saying they’d put a ticket in for me, then never followed up. Love the product idea, love that they work for most from what I can tell, sad they didn’t work out in my case.
