It is still as good as when I saw it when I was a kid. Sometimes when you think back on things and you think "that was great", but when you experience it again its not so great. That was not the case with Season 1 Nash Bridges.

Great Show, Best of the 90's

I think this was truly one of the last "family" shows of the 90's. It had something for everyone. And, it's remarkable how well the series did, although season 6 (the last season) was a major disappointment, the others make up for it. It had a great cast, with great chemistry. The plots were sometimes serious, some times funny, and some times both. It all worked. And the way it worked, it was like you couldn't question it, nor should we. Entertainment is that..entertainment. Want real life? Watch the news. This was a great way to spend a Friday ngiht at home if you were stuck at home, and certainly worth taping (which I did) if you weren't going to be home. This had a "heartfelt" charm, some "hilarious, bust-out-laughing moments", but very little "s e x and sleaze". The language was mild, but still realistic. It was something you wouldn't mind watching with your kids. It was a true treasure and gem.

5 Stars for Show, 3 Stars for DVD

I found this to be a very entertaining show. I have no criticism of the show itself. The problem is with the DVD set. For the collector or discerning user, they should know that it appears that the publisher did not get the license for any of the original music including the theme song. So all the stylish music used in the show has been replaced by generic music. Also, it should be noted that these are edited, cut episodes. Some may want to buy the set primarily for the extra features, and if they don't mind the high price (for 8 episodes) then that's understandable. 5 stars for the show, 3 stars for the DVD.

Don Johnson's return to TV with Cheech Marin of all people!
But, it works! The show is funny and has a little action to keep you occupied for the hour. Created by Carlton Cuse, who is now the executive producer on Lost, the show is written well.
Don and Cheech are a great team and have a natural chemistry that makes the show even better.
