    This is a good scope but it is mainly a beginner micro scope

    A remarkably good microscope for the $$. I have a graduate degree in neuroanatomy and spent years using expensive Zeiss and Olympus scopes. I bought this scope for some simple home lab work and mostly to entertain the grandkids. The ability to use your phone as a video screen really facilitates the latter.
