First I’ll just say I love all Miyazaki films- this one is no exception. It does have an older feel to it, being on of his earlier works, but Miyazaki has a way of making enjoyable and relatable characters that you want to learn about, and his simple yet detailed artwork has beauty. Not to mention he’s a master at working things he finds meaningful into his work, such as being echo friendly, bravery, hope, etc. Definitely worth a watch!

I purchased this for my son and wife to add to their collection of all the films directed by Hiyao Miyazaki for Studio Ghibli. It was every bit as great a film as we've come to expect from the such a brilliant artist. Great story, with a wonderful fantasy element with just enough sci-fi mixed in to create something truly unique. Appropriate for all ages of anime fans, or any fans who enjoy a fantasy story to take them on an adventure.

This movie was weird, a little hard to follow, and felt like it went on too long. It's not a bad movie, but it was a little bit of a letdown after seeing some of Miyazaki's better movies first. It's still worth watching though.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is one of those hidden Studio Ghibli gems that you need to watch, Japanese or English. The English voice cast has a lot of great actors and does not disappoint at all! A really great movie and even though it is one of those original movies made before Studio Ghibli's founding (still considered a Studio Ghibli movie in my eyes) it is still worth the greatness it gives.

This story was wonderful. The characters are well defined and the setting is fantastic. It really does hit the blend of fantasy and technology perfectly. The animation may be from 1984 but it is still beautiful and as with most Ghibli production the colors at times make for immersive scenes. It is a little more adult than some of the other Ghibli titles and wears its pg rating well.

The movie is fantastic, the box design is a little uninspired and easy to scratch, but it fits well with the rest of the collection.

Ahhh, classic Miyazaki. This film was wonderful. Fantasy, mystical, beautiful scripting, beautiful screenplay, beautiful art, just wonderful. They storyline takes us on a journey that we never want to return from. You fall in love with the the characters and strongly feel for their mission at hand. Nausicaa is no exception. I highly recommend this movie to any aged anime fan, and especially a Miyazaki fan.

Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind is arguably one of the greatest films made by Studio Ghibli. It's a post-apocalyptic film with clear environmentalist themes that is presented in a nuanced way. Like many of the Ghibli films by Miyazaki it features a strong young female lead. The movie is a must-own for anyone who loves animated movies, good characters, and good stories.

Without Miyazaki's environmental sci-fi tale Nausicaa, there would be no Studio Ghibli. This film was released on video under the Ghibli banner though its theatrical release predated the studio's existence. The film's protagonist was at the top of the most popular anime characters in Japanese magazines for many years, proof of this film's longevity.

Being before my time, I never got to see this movie theatrically, only having read the manga. Arguably Hayao Miyazaki's magnum opus and one that has broad audience appeal. Children and adults alike will come away with a message of peace that isn't ham-fisted or dated, and the main character is a fantastic role model that hasn't been eclipsed.

The break out film of Studio Ghibli (before Studio Ghibli was Studio Ghibli)!!! The story is a grand epic on the scale of something like Lord of the Rings and set in a unique post apocalyptic world. Nausicaa is a fantastic heroine and accompanied by an ensemble of other likable characters. A great achievement by the standard of any accomplished animation studio.

Another great film by Miyazaki! More focusing on humanity's interaction with life on this planet is one much needed. Though it has it's 80's moments to the film, but Miyazaki and Hisaishi's music always transcend their present time. Great feel good movie (as he always makes), beautifully animated and this mastered for Blu-Ray is wonderful. Highly recommend.
