The graphics are pretty good and are updated from 2k9, but the players seem to move much slower and the controls are not the same. Also, it seems like they didn't work out all the glitches in the game. The stats box sometimes stays on the screen too long blocking the game underneath. The menu screen is also difficult to use and it's hard to find where you want to go. I don't think I would have bought it knowing what I know now.

4 Real Ballers Only

2K10 is the best basketball game out there. For those that want a basketball game that plays like a tru 2 life basketball game, this is it. Take it from some1 who actually plays basketball. You cant just run up and down and dunk the ball all over the place. Defense is key. Aside from the challenge aspect of it the game is beautiful 2 watch. I can't tell u enough how many time people have thought it was a real b-ball game on the screen when they saw me playing it. Presentation wise everything is spot on; from the stadiums, to the comprehensive dialogue of the announcers; right down to the tattoos. The selling factor 4 me besides just being a great game, the my player feature. I love the fact u can live out your NBA dreams from the start; traing camps, the d- league, straight 2 the pros. It has a slight rpg feel 2 it gaining points 2 build up your player. All in all if you want a great game that comes wit a challenge this is your game.

i believe 2k fan expect more and more each year and its hard to please everyone. eventually gaming will level out for a few years until it kicks up a notch again. compared to live this game is awesome on the gameplay and the player modeling. more realism and control. those that are making the switch will say the same things as those in the pass. i too was a loyal EA fan. this was also the year that i wanted to try the 2k series. i am after gameplay. the things you can do in 2k you just can't possibly do in live. you are in control of your moves. the downside is that after playing live for years, this 2k is a whole different beast for me. the moves are a must to learn and you have to do them quick on the fly if you want to get past your man. i bought this game day one, played all night and now i don't play is as much as i intended due to other new game purchases, but i am glad i have this in my inventory. 2k is a different interface but adaptation will happen eventually. after seeing 2k9 on you tube, the commentary is alot better. not sure of all the glitches that every complains about though. I won't be playing this online anytime soon so online play won't be a factoer for me. for those live fans, i will say at least rent this. the downloadable combine demo won't give your full experience. play the real thing.

I was so psyched to play this game that I preordered it. Within a day of playing it, I already regret the decision. If you like to constantly lose, and have no fun this is the game for you. They bragged that all of the teams would play like their real life counterparts. They were correct. They will beat you. Every team regardless of rating plays the same, and will beat you. They claimed that there would be new presentation elements. That is a lie. It looks exactly like NBA 2K9. The controls are clumsy, and respond slowly and will put you in a bad position sometimes. There is not much new to the offline gameplay modes. If you do not have online, this game will get boring very quickly.Buy this game only if you are a fan of the 2K series. If you are looking for a brand new experience, pass on this one.

I got this game for the My Player mode. You can start off your player as a walk on and move up into the NBA. The game grades you on your team skills and not the individual stats. From the grades you can earn points to boost your player ratings.
one downside to the game is when the computer plays defense. Your other players sometimes leave the paint wide open for the other team to dunk.
Other than that. I love the game.

This game has a lot of new features and player models look even better this year. The commentating is very dynamic since it is based on player performance or updates from NBA Today. The association mode is deeper now so I am happy about that and the god awful menus look much better this year. I feel this is a good improvement and NBA 2K will always beat out the Live series from EA.

When i first bought this game i was very skeptical, i expected another 2K game (which is good), but i got that and more. the graphics totally blew me away, especially on a 1080p television with surrround sound. what is awesome is NBA Today, anything that happens in the NBA goes straight to 2k10, when i played on Halloween, the scoreboard theme was covered with little ghosts and pumpkins, how awesome is that, the commentators also refer to games that have been played in the few recent days that passed, overall just a wonderful and fun game to play, and Best Buy needs to change their info, its up to 7 players not 1

This game went far and beyond what I expected. I really don't care to much for basketball game, but this one is great. Now the gameplay is good and this seem to roll alirght for me. The characters don't look like the actual players. Its a little glitchy at times and free throws can be a pain. Above all get this game.

I have been an EA fan for as long as I can remember. I use to purchase NBA Live series since they came out but this was the first year I tried out 2K series. I'm glad I did.
After playing NBA Live 10 and NBA 2K 10, I have to say that 2K10 has Live 10 beat.............no question.

I get the NBA 2k games every year and this years version blew my mind with how much stuff you could custom. create a player, create a team (seattle super sonics, iowa city golden dragons) do a fantasy draft and PICK THE ORDER! you can tell the game how you want to play and the game doesnt play you. i have played nba live at my friends and it is a tragedy of a game compared to 2k! 2k is worth every penny! did i mention you can edit attributes for any player even during the franchise (association mode) theres a new mode (simmiler to the madden series) of developing just your player and trying to make a team out of training camp (super cool)
Besides being the best game of all time its got great online features and did i mention you can edit/download/create draft classes. if you wanted to you could get this game and not buy another nba game for at least 3 years thats how soild this title is. what am i doing on here im going to go play the game

First let me start off by saying I don't play much B-Ball games on the PS3. Last one I played was LIve 07, and this is my first time playing a NBA 2K game on PS3, so I can't compare it to previous versions. First thing I noticed was the amazing graphics and game modes. Besides your regular quick game you have 3pt contest, slam dunk contest, rookie challenges and many other things to keep you busy. Getting right into my first game I was blown away by how real the arenas looked. I sweer I stood back from my 42" tv and can honestly say it look almost like a real b-ball game, the fact that its actually in 1080p is awesome. The game play is great, although it is a bit difficult to play/win, but that could be due to my lack of skill. but I think its good that you do get challenged, make it funnier. Anyways I high reccommend this game.

I turn the autosave off and it still works in the association mode thats a glitch thats so bad how could they release this game with that in it!!!! I was so excited to get this game now i wish i could return it. the gameplay is awfull. The top players in the game cant even make a jumpshot. The option menu is slow to respond and its so much harder to understand. Yeah the graphics are great but thats meaningless if you cant play the game the way it was inteded to play. If all i wanted for $59.99 was graphics then i would just watch the real thing on tv, but its a game.

I got the game for the updated rosters, ratings, and to see what they came up with to improve off fo NBA2K9 (as I do every year for this game and Madden). I was pretty disappointed. The game play is choppier and no where near as smooth as NBA2K9. There seems to be a delay between when you interact with the controller and what your guy does on screen. The game menus are cluttered and more complicated than NBA2K9. For what its worth I have been playing the NBA2K games for the past 2-3 years, but I can not hit a jumpshot to save my life in this game (shooting with decent players), but then again I have only played a few games. If you are a first time NBA2K'er, save your self some money and get a better game in NBA2K9.

2K10 is a nice improvement over 2K9. There are some new additions like a stamina bar.. Kobe and Lebron aren't monsters like in 2K9. The game does suffer from some glitches, but the game is one of the best.
