2K11's presentation stands out more this year.The defense is much sharper,controls are much smoother,color commentary,and crowds are an upgrade from last year.Their still seems to be some lag and connection problems with online play.You will get into a match online and lag out.I think that 2K needs better severs with this series.New is the Jordan Challenge.A game mode that follows 10 of the Great One's career accomplishments.In MJ: Creating a Legend,you will take Jordan as a rookie and guide him to be a legend on any NBA team.You can also play with classic teams in their classic stadiums.You can play with these teams in exhibition and association modes.The game also has a deeper My Player mode with My Career feature.If your a basketball fan give this one a shot.

Graphics: Good graphics overall, not too much different from last year though. Gameplay: There has been a lot added here. The main focus this year is definitely on the defensive side of the ball. There is now switching players on defense, rather than just guarding the player in your position for the whole game. This makes the game a lot more interesting and realistic. Say I pick and roll the guy defending me, and he gets hung up on the screen, then the man that was defending my guy who set the screen would now be defending the ball handler, then with a C defending a PG, you can easily blow by him for a lay-up. This is a big deal, because of the huge difficulty increase they made when driving the ball to the basket. In previous installments, you could take Lebron and drive to the basket every single possession, with very limited juking needed. In this years version, you us find an opening between defenders to even have a chance at getting to the basket. You can get around this by learning the juke moves and breaking your opponents ankles, or working till you get a mismatch that you can easily take advantage of (C guarding PG). While there are tons of little things that they improved on that you won't really appreciate unless you've played previous versions, they have made this game very realistic. The only downside to this realism, in intercepting passes. The defense is a whole lot smarter, so they are able to pick up a lot more lose balls or bad passes, but they even pick off passes that they would have had no chance of seeing. Like, if you were behind a defender, and passed it to another player, also behind the defender, he would still pick it out of the air even though he never saw it and had no chance of seeing it. So you kind of have to adjust your gameplay to not pass anywhere near defenders or risk having a turnover, which you will see much much more of in this game than years past. Overall, the game play got much better and much more realistic. They listened to what the players wanted, and implemented quite a bit of it. Gameplay modes: They have the standard game modes: exhibition, season, association, and my player The only thing I noticed added to exhibition is the ability to play as some of the classic teams like the 91' Lakers or the 95' Bulls and many other teams. For association mode (dynasty mode) they have now made player roles more specific, and they have also made the team chemistry work better as well. The team managers now act like those teams in real life as well. Like in previous games you could steal a teams franchise player for a few draft picks and a role player, that is no longer the case. My player was a mode that was introduced last year, where you could create a rookie and have him go through the draft combine, attend summer league, and eventually make it to an NBA team. They added a lot more depth to it this year in terms of after game press conferences and the ability to request trades. The conferences don't do much, they ask you a question after every game and depending on how you answer your team chemistry, local popularity, and league-wide popularity will either go up or down. Supposedly, if you get on bad enough terms with your team, they will refuse to pass you the ball, and getting on bad terms with fans will cause them to boo you. The gameplay in My Player is also quite a bit harder now as well, and this stems from the game focusing on defense this year. Rather than just being able to drive the ball every time, you have to play smart, creating on/off ball screens, finding the open man, and focus more moving the ball around. Since the mode is harder, it take a bit longer to level up your character than it did in the last one, but once you decide what you want your character to focus on (defense, 3-point shooting, post scoring) it will start to build up points much quicker. The last mode is the mode that is new this year, and that is the Jordan Challenge. Essentially, you have to recreate all of Michael Jordans greatest moments throughout his career. Basically, you play a game with classic teams, and you have certain goals that Jordan has to achieve during that game. One game you have to score 69 points or more with a shooting percentage of 50 or better. In another game you have to get 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 22 points. There are 10 of these challenges, and once you beat them, you are able to play My Player mode with Jordan as a rookie. Very fun, lots of improvements, definitely a buy.

I would love to give this game a 5 star rating, but because of the online options, I can not. The game has great graphics, best I have seen. Moves are very hard to learn, but if you do them correct, they are very useful. The reason for the 3 star is trying to get online to play with others and choose a team in the past. First, the menu is not user friendly and to play me vs. a friend, the game makes you pause for 45 seconds on one screen then goes to another with another pause of 30 seconds, then you have about 20 seconds to pick the team you want. Not to mention when you choose what team you want to play, you can only be 1 person on that team, not the whole team. With that being said, I would still buy the game again just because the graphics are that good. Shooting is pretty tuff as well, but again, more practice, the better. Dont think you can jump into the game and start shooting 50% from the floor off the get go, it wil take several hours of playing to get somewhat decent as shooting.

This is the best basketball game i played. Graphics, commentators, moves, easily to move with just the flick if the sticks. Im recommending this to anyone who loves basketball....

this is a great game that is very fun and challenging. But the only problem i have with it is the passing. if you try an pass to someone more that 6 feet from you the defense either tips it or intercepts it. Also you end up passing it to the wrong person a lot and the only way to overcome that is using the bumper so each player has a button to hit to pass to them, but this is really annoying to do. The passing isn't something that would stop me from buying the game but it can get very very frustrating.

This game is more challenging that the previous which is great. The graphics are great, the music is great and the options especially when playing the association are great. Great buy, 2K is always the best.

This game has finally brought some life into basketball games. This game is real, you want to talk about the players really playing like themselves, its unreal how much detail is, the players shoot like themselves, drive, dunk, pass, show off like themselves, and im just talking about the online online play haha. I have not even mentioned how much more there is. What 2K did with MJ is amazing, all the things they have on this game for the man is outstanding, I wont ruin it, bye it haha. The Graphics are very much inproved from 2k10 (not like that was hard) haha. Gameplay is amazing, graphics are great, commentary, crowds, music, overall, best sports game ever, if you dissagree, your out there.

This game is the best of the series. Probably my favorite game to date, but I am a huge NBA basketball fan. The only thing that would have allowed me to give it 5 stars was the fact that it is almost TOO hard. I don't mind the difficulty being high, but in many cases players will pick off passes without being able to see the pass coming. This is a minor problem compared to all of the great things this game does, however. This game is not for the casual basketball fan. You will be using all of your basketball IQ to play this game, or you will get frustrated and run away. Even if you have a great understanding of the game, the frustration will still be there, because this is a tough game. Worth buying for any basketball fan.

I love that how game focuses around Jordan and the Bulls. As well as other basketball legends. The graphics are amazing on this, nothing less then amazing. Although the controls are a bit overwhelming at times. I need more time to play it to get the hang of it but its a fun game and wil be spending more time with it. I can't wait to play it online.

LOVE IT! So I pre-ordered this game but didn't think it would be such an exceptional game and it actually turned out to be one of the best sports games I have ever played. Graphics are amazing and very realistic; I was even playing a wizards cavaliers quick game and my mom asked, "Is this virtual or real-life?" Until, of course, she saw the controller in my hand... But everything about it just amazes me, usually in most sports game there is something glitchy or artificial, but this one is free of glitches and unreal gameplay from what I've seen. I'm gonna be pumped ALL basketball season playin this game, not only wizards but also with my school team! Soooo worth the 60 bucks.

I bought the game online. I had received it right on time, but just on thing was wrong. The cover of the game was broken and ripped. The case was broken, and the disc was unreadable. I finally got it to work. The game itself is actually quite fun. However, DO NOT BUY ONLINE.

I think NBA 2k11 is one of the greatest basketball games of all time. It is one of the greatest video games I have ever used. My favorite feature is the playoff bracket in "Game Modes" . Another great feature is how real it looks in game,however I don't like the dunk contest feature because it takes absolutely perfect shot stick timing.

Just a all around fun game to play. Ive played a lot of other b.ball games in the past and this is the best Ive come across in some time. and any game the is dedicated to the great one MJ cant be all that bad
