Great basketball simulator once you master it

The assortment of vintage teams/players is wonderful. although there are some noticeable omissions. Shooting takes some time to master whether you use the button or the joystick. The A.I. of the game is indicative of the modern-day NBA... your opponents will jack up threes all day, and make most of them unless you tweak the difficulty of the game. By far my favorite part (aside from the game itself) is the inclusion of actual NBA arena P.A. announcers. As a Knicks fan, hearing Mike Walczewski (of Madison Square Garden fame) shout "PAAAAAAA-TRICK EWING!!!" or "THREEEEEEEE POINT GOAL!!!" after a made basket was enough to sell me on this game.

Good NBA, but have to grind
