Best Version Yet - Even better than the original

I played the original Arcade game (made by Midway) 17 yrs ago and spent well over $50 doing so.
If you are not familiar with this game - it is a 2 vs 2 Arcade Basketball game (with other modes as well) with actual NBA players. The action is fast and furious, and just fun to play. The game controls are not complex, but need timing and adds to the overall experience.
This version surpasses any previous console attempt, and is even better than the original Arcade phenom. The controls and speed of the game are identical to the original. The devastating dunks, shoves, headfakes, steals, incredible blocks are all still here. Added are crossover moves, and Alley-Oops.
The original announcer - Tim Kitzrow - is back, and all of the original hilarious play calls are here, plus a great deal more "Jamonisms". You will find yourself laughing with each call.
To add to the fun- you can also unlock previous "Old School" players - Magic. Larry, Dominique, Rodman, McHale, Isiah, Hakeem the dream, Drexler (the glide), the Mailman and much more. You can also play as your favorite politician, or other hidden characters (Beastie Boys, etc).
The game looks great in HD - the developers kept all the original visuals, and did not add anything noticeable (which is great). The players faces are crystal clear (yes, Big Head Mode is included)
There a robust online feature set.
There have been previous attempts to capture the fun of the original arcade game in a home console - and finally, Jam has found a home in 2010 on next gen consoles!
Props to EA for maintaining everything that was great about the original - and not trying to change/"modernize it. There is a reason why this game was an international Superhit, and EA showcases it.
There is a lot to keep the single player playing for numerous hours - and is a lot of fun in multiplayer.
Thanks EA - Nice Job. After 17 long years, someone finally got it right.
This is the most fun I've had playing a game in a long, long time.

NBA JAM is a great game, best selling game of all time, in the 90's you could not stop playing this game, the cheat codes, secret characters are back. If you buy this game you will love it. The only problem with this game is that back in the 90's , you can control 2 players in the game. NBA JAM 2010 you can only control 1 player in your team.

Relatively shallow arcade game but it delivers where it's supposed to. Providing quick pick-up entertainment. Playing with a couple friends provides a few hours of great fun one of the better local multi-player games that I have played when it comes to pure uncomplicated fun. I don't even like basketball but I play this game over and over.
