Lots of good times for those that played the original game back on other systems or new kids for the first time. Can change the difficult settings and enough features to keep kids occupied for a while. LOTS of hours for achievement earning as many games have to be played to get there. Some are nearly impossible.

This takes me back to the days of playing in the arcade. Now w/ HD graphics and the same announcer, its addicting. Massive amount of unlockables. Great online or solo. Can't go wrong w/ this game. Boomshakalaka! :)

Game is a lot of fun playing with friends or playing friends online - however, the solo play gets a little boring after all - need to crank the difficulty up. Usually cannot play online unless you have a partner - not enough people.

We recently went to buy NBA 2K11, but the manager recommended this one. My 9 year old son knew he liked NBA2K11 so he didn't even want to try this one. Well, I bought both. He reluctantly tried this after a short time of playing 2K11 and he has been playing this game non stop ever since. I don't think the other one has been touched since.

If you are like me and spent enough money in the arcade on NBA JAM to buy the original game, then you will love this game and it's a must buy. I only wish it had all the original teams and not the new guys. You can unlock several of them but I prefer the old school NBA players. Maybe they're all there and I just haven't unlocked them yet. Being "On FIRE" doesn't quite seem to have the same feel. I don't remember missing that many shots in the arcade when on fire as I do in the XBOX 360 remake. Maybe it's just older reflexes now. The new mini games are ok. Some are better than others. This is a fun game to play by yourself and even better to play with family and friends.
