  • Not a simple portable scanner

    The software takes a long time to load. The software over analyzes the item to be scanned. I just want to scan and save to a folder on my computer. The default is to save to a file within the software in a category you pick from the software. The cable does not fit in the bag which holds the scanner. The user manual is vague. The support staff are not supportive of a beginner learning to use the software. The price is too high for just a scanner. The software is geared to organization of scanned materials; I just want to scan and save without all the organization.

  • No Vista 64 bit Support

    I do not recommend this product because it does not support 64 bit Vista. Even if you have a 32 bit system, I would wait until the next version. If after two years they have not updated this software to work with Vista 64 bit, it says to me the company is not committed to the product line.

    I really enjoyed using this with my old computer. In addition, I was recommending this company to anyone I met that travels routinely. Then I bought a Vista 64 PC. That was the end. It doesn't work and Neat Receipts doesn't appear to be interested in changing that. There are numerous reviews that back this up. The scary part is that Microsoft is about to introduce a new version of Windows. What do you think the level of support will be with this upgrade??? Exercise caution with this company. The chickens are coming home to roost for a lack of taking care of customers, Neat Receipts! You tossed an exceptionally loyal customer to the side.

    Nice little scanner but it will not work with Windows Vista 64 bit operating system. They say software will be comming out in early 2009.

    I always hated doing my expense reports and was usually at least 2 months behind and probably didn't account for a lot of out of pocket expenses that I would have been reimbursed for. Now I stay current and my report is always ready by the 1st of the month. The best part is it imports right into QuickBooks and my check is ready immediately. I now have accurate records and it is all digital. Out of all the "high tech toys" I have bought this one has been a true time saver and effective tool to keep me organized
