Got it for my little brother for Christmas and ended up giving it to him ahead of time, he loves it. The new cars that they’ve added have been a huge upgrade over the previous versions.

I mean not much to say. It’s need for speed. Different than the last but feels like the rest. Looks nice and plays well.

I wanted them to keep expanding on the revamp from 2015... this game feels like a really nice version on an arcade game

I have always been a fan of the need for speed games from years ago. I recently purchased an Xbox one S. I bought it mainly for the movie and music streaming, but ultimately came down to it being fun to play games on as well. Need for speed payback was definitely my first choice for games to play. I am not disappointed in the game play of it. It's fun being able to drive anywhere in the open game plan.

need for speed never settle but for the best the speed series.. has been really fast paced game many cars to chose for the price unbelievable.. best buy has it all this game has all excited played this game foe 1months now

NFS is pretty much the only game that I play anymore. I have played them all from PS1 to now. This release is little off. You are sort of forced to follow missions IN ORDER to continue through the game. There is a lot of extra mini missions like jumping through billboards or locating digital coins while free roaming around the map but it is not that interesting. And the voice talking of your "crew" is so repetitive is gets annoying at times. At first it was kind of cool that the interaction was going on and thought it to be part of the story line, but after playing for a couple weeks, they seem to say the same stuff over and over. Overall, it is a decent game to play and if you're a NFS junky, then obviously you will sort of like it. I don't plan on stopping over these little things, but if I compared it to the other NFS games, I would put this one at the bottom of list.

Imo I thought need for speed payback was pretty fun to just mess around in an open freeroam, what I didn't like about it was the autos handled horribly, worse than arcade style that NFS franchise was brought up on. I also thought the story was way too short and the ppl didn't talk very often.

Past Need For Speed games often featured a cops versus robbers theme, but Payback eschews that in favour of street-racing.

It's a good game, and another Need For Speed addition to the lineup.
