However, some found the game's difficulty level too simple and criticized the lack of a compelling storyline. The overall experience is considered positive by many players, despite these shortcomings.

Me and Joey Jojo Shabadoo III were at BB to get other stuff when we walked by the game aisle. Being a fan of driving games and being a cheapskate led me to the bargain bins. They are full for a reason. Just pony up the extra dough and get an expensive game.

    A step backwards

This game is alright. Just kidding. This game has some of the worst graphics out of any of the other nfs games. This game is WAY too easy, and there is ABSOLUTLY NO STORYLINE. I don't really know what they were thinking ono this one. Although the car selection is better, I think, than any other nfs except for nfs prostreet for PC, because you can download cars that you do not start out with on that game.

    Disappointment in the making

I was severely disappointed in this game. Although the graphics and customization were pretty sweet, I found that it was difficult to use the autosculpt feature and it just clutters the game. If you like just racing other cars, I'd suggest this, but this is not a suggested buy. Cops are annoying and almost unstoppable as the game progresses. Racing isnt much of a challenge so the fun factor ends quickly

    A great NFS Game

The best thing about this game is the actual gameplay, it's almost exactly like Most Wanted, and the layout is very similar to that. Gone is the territory owning from Carbon, or the horrible "Legal" environment of ProStreet. Some things that still bring this game down are In Game Advertising, and an unbalanced automattic difficulty system. If your car doesn't have many mods (like my Audi TT) it will blow past every single competitor. If you put a bunch of cash into modding a new car's performance (like my Evo X) you'll get blown away every time. Since the game doesn't let you pick your difficulty it bases the difficulty of the game on your car's performance. If it let you pick the difficulty or based it off from your personal record it would be a lot better. There's still some in game ads, but it's not nearly as bad as in Carbon or ProStreet. Having Progressive written on the side of a car is just distracting, I much more preferred bilboard style ads from the Underground series. Overall, if you liked Most Wanted or even Carbon, you'll like this game.

NFS games just keep going down hill since UG2

At the start of the game, you will begin enjoying the idea of driving in a free world wherever you may want to go. The objectives begin being thrown at you and you're liking the ideas of the objectives and the cutscenes which features Christina Milian. Then suddenly 30 minutes pass and then 1 hour passes and it seems as though the game is dragging along. The idea of police chasing you after every single race just gets irritating after a while. If you're fairly moderate at driving in NFS games you may spend up to 30 minutes just trying to get away from police cars. That is unless you're smart enough to look for barricades for the cops which could take at least 10 minutes. Other than those set backs, the graphics is amazing. Try playing this game on a big screen TV! I tried it on a 63" DLP screen and it was really nice. Customizing your favorite car is a plus as always. Nissan Skyline R-34.

Great beginner game, but not worth the money!

OK. So its not the best NFS out there, but try and remember how bad Underground and Underground 2 were!! They came back with a vengence with Most Wanted and held par with Carbon only to disappoint all with Pro Street. Fast forward to now. EA gave this to BlackBox who did a competent job, at best. Graphics do get choppy here and again, usually at the worst times. The story line and difficulty do increase, but not nearly enough(remember the canyon races in Carbon???UGH!) You must play the whole game!!! It is relatively short, but can be longer if you do NOT settle for "wins"(which most do) and don't stop each race till you get a "dominated" rank for that race. And yes, there are some races that are very difficult to get that "DOMINATE" rank. This is kind of the easy or hard selection. For beginners, settle for wins. For hardcores, go fo dominate. All in all, this game is perfect for anyone new to the NFS series. If this is your first, go for it and go backwards, skipping ProStreet and both Undergrounds. This will hold you till trhe next, and hopefully better, NFS. I'd love to see a "Most Wanted 2". For the advanced players, well... it is better than Pro Street anyways!!! (Recommend only to new or limited experience players)

The cars look great customization was so much fun. The glare they still didn't fix and sometimes annoying to get away from cops. POLICE SUV"S CAN"T CATCH UP TO THE LAMBO AT FULL SPEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it would still be a game worth getting im not sure at this price but maybe when it drops.

    Best Need For Speed

This game is so realistic. It goes straight to the point right when you jump into it. It is a whole lot better then Prostreet was. Its not Porstreet where you race on a track it is back on the streets where street racers belong. If you play this game and you like street racing, and you say you dont like it well, you dont know a good street racing game. I really like the cut scenes where the people are talking it is so real. The cops are a lot harder to get away from also thats another thing i like about this game. Check it out if you haven't got it. I would recommend you buy this game and not rent it. Casue whats the point in renting it when you are going to go buy it. Its a waste of 8 bucks when ou could go to Best Buy and put that 8 bucks towards the game.

The most fun in this game is just driving around, but they inhibit that soooo much. The next game needs to take out the idea of cops just driving around. Its sooooo annoying that all you do is sit there, probably doing something else, and you immediately begin a chase. make the difficulty easier, its frustrating how many corners my car could fly off of....and while the others are made of lead and stone yours is made of feathers and wind, meaning that if another car touches you, you donut, lose control, and automatically lose the race.

I loved how it was really diffucult to escape, and to dominate on the races was pretty hard. It is very addicting, I found myself playing it all night. Most of the cars are pretty cool, but there could be a lot more. Like I said, I played this game all night-but I beat it that night. The races were difficult, but there wasn't enough. There wasn't near enough cars. And I hate the fact there's NO OFFLINE MULTIPLAYER!!!! I'm going to say-Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. But I'd recommend 3 racing games over this one. That's out of the 20 some odd I have played so 4th...is pretty good from where I see it.

The game is pretty fun, doesnt waste time in menus, just throughs you right into racing and cop chases. This game is better than Carbon and ProStreet for sure. Tons of paint colors but can't paint brakes or exhaust tips. No neon lights. Racing in the early morning. like 7:30am?? whats up with that. Small selection of cars but i can't really complain. Id like to see more Ricer cars. If your tired of beating Most Wanted a million times over, than you should definetly pick this game up.

I've played every Need For Speed Title since the first one and I must say that this game is a complete and utter disappointment. Sure the cars and environment look great. The camera, however seems to studder when at speed though. Now, not sure if this is designed to make me feel like I'm going fast but in reality it makes me think I'm epileptic. EA has taken a franchise with great potential and ruined it. It used to be that NFS was a great arcade racer where you could drive all types of supercars. Now, it's reduced to driving a bunch of rice burners with coffee can exhausts. In my opinion, NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 was probably the pinnacle in this franchise. Undercover offers nothing to change that opinion. This game will most likely end up as a trade in within a week. I keep playing to give it a chance to WOW me.. but it just continues to underwhelm.

This is a great game that is DEFINITELY worth the buy. I woud have to say this is the second best need for speed right behind most wanted. There are a TON of very nice cars to choose from and GREAT customization. I'm about as skillful as the average gamer and say this game is not TO hard, but isn't to easy. This game is VERY fun. So for all you people sitting at home beating NFS Carbon, ProStreet, and MOST WANTED repeatedly, go pick this game up.

Great Racing Game, but NO 2 Player mode!

Game was excellent, and HD graphics are superb. Game puts you in the driver's seat as you chase the bad guy, win difficult races, and evade from the police. ONLY PROBLEM I was quite disappointed in and really surprised was that this racing game, didn't have a 2 player mode for local game play, meaning I cant race my fiend in the game, although he is sitting right next to me holding a controller ready to be smoked, because the game doesn't have a split screen mode. I thought that was the whole point in racing games... was to be able to race against your friends. This game just might be going back to the store for a refund.
