As of now the hardliner anime fandom seems to have this issue against young guys. They either must be punching bags or wimps, cross-dressers, or voiced by women. Else: "It's Shounen Jump garbage," "he's an obstacle to the hot girls who hover around him," and "he needs to be dealt with." Not everybody understood that the reason why Geneon fell of the US anime market's map was because of the catering to said hardliners. With that being said; the Negima series atleast tries to get on the good side of the anime fandom. 31+ cute girls, one cute and determined young guy, a whole lot of zaniness based on the ongoing manga. And this is all despite the choppiness of the animation done by Xebec. Peace and "what's up" to Greg Ayers (Negi Springfield's English VA), and the rest of the crew at FUNimation for doing the best they can with this title and its sequal.

over all a good show a bit on the campy side when you start the series but after the 3rd disc it starts to pick up and you really get into it. for anyone who is a fan of harry potter it has enough of a tip of the hat to really make you enjoy it but when you get to that last disc it is hard to belive it is over you almost want to start from the being and watch it all over again and since the price of the box set is cheaper then buying each one separtly it is worth watching many times over with a good bit of magic and school girl sillyness how could you not enjoy it

This is a great buy to get if you are an anime fan. Its got magic, action, comedy, and a guy surrounded by girls who are crazy about him. If you are looking for a a great show to watch and have a good laugh, this is the show to watch.
