This was a surprising sequel to a DS game that I did not see coming. While the controls and gameplay are vastly different, the story and cast of characters exceed the charm of the original. Having accumulated 90+ hours at the point of finishing the game, I was only at 85% in regards to collectibles. If you’re looking for a fun and challenging grind, NEO: The World Ends With You is the perfect time sink.
While you don’t need to play the first game in the series to enjoy this game, I would highly recommend tracking it down afterwards. Additionally, having lived in Tokyo years ago, the game really captures the charm and transports you into the heart of Shibuya. It felt like a trip down memory lane, walking by the new PARCO building and seeing the big yellow Tower Records.

Love this game I won’t lie I’m still playing it and taking my time to beat it.
