Still have to hold one button and pull trigger repeatedly (i.e. its not fully automatic). Lots of fun and nerf bullets shoot really far. Kind of noisy.

It is battery powered which makes shooting the darts easier, plus the darts emit a whistle when flying through the air! The kids and admittedly myself are having a blast with this one.
