This is a great coffe machine that surpasses any that I’ve had in the past. You can’t just hook everything up then begin making coffee no, read the instructions VERY carefully and throughly the first time so that you know how to clean and maintain it properly. Once that is figured out it’s really a breeze. To be able to make high quality lattes and cappuccino with just a touch of a touch screen button is amazing. I will say it is a little noisy but not to the point where it becomes an issue. The nesspresso pods are VERY VERY high quality coffee. Surpasses any other coffee maker that uses the pods system. Then, instead of having to take the pod out after every use it dispenses into a tray that you can empty as you need to. It does come with 14 high quality coffee pods and it’s easy to order more from their sight. The hot foam feature is my favorite since I usually get extra foam whenever I buy coffee. My mom is a little older and she has no problems operating the machine. This machine is designed very very well and it looks very sophisticated in your kitchen it’s definitely not an eyesore or something you want to stuff in a cabinet after use. Overall VERY high quality from the machine itself, to the touchscreen responsive buttons and definitely worth every penny. You won’t regret buying this especially if you’re someone who goes to high end coffee shops regularly.

I've never been one to spend a ton of money on "fancy" coffee drinks; ie: the place with the green logo that's on every corner and in ever grocery store. Every now and then, I might splurge on a drink, but I would say, no more than once ever other month or so. Enter this Nespresso machine. This thing makes quality drinks at a fraction of the price of those coffee shops. Are they "as good as" what I would be paying $5-6 for? Not quite, but don't let that fool you. I've managed to go through the 14-pod sample pack and another store-bought 10-pack in only two weeks. All of the drinks that I've made have been milk-based drinks (I'm not big on strong, black coffee..give me cream and sugar!) and have been delicious. The ease at which this machine makes these drinks, along with giving me the option to add more hot milk or milk foam is fantastic. What I love most about this machine, is that the milk container is removable and easily cleaned. I just pour milk into the included container, connect it to the front of the machine, drop in a pod, and push the button of the drink that I want. After it makes my drink, I swap my drink cup for another "waste" cup, turn the dial on the milk container, and it automatically switches to clean mode. This only takes about 20 seconds, but it basically back washes the cartridge inside of the milk container with hot, steamy water. Once done, you pull the milk container away from the machine, which disconnects it. You can then pop it back in the fridge for your next use. None of the "cleaning water" ever mixes with the milk, so there is no cross-contamination. After about a week, you can easily dismantle the milk container and clean it. Another great feature is the built-in pod bin that stores your used, waste pods. When you lift the lid to insert a pod, the used pod is automatically ejected into this pod bin, which is easily pulled out and can be cleaned. The machine also includes a tube that can be connected to the machine (it conveniently stores in the back) for descaling and cleaning; I have yet to use that since the machine is still new. If there was any room for improvement, it would be in the placement of the water reservoir. The reservoir is mounted to the back of the machine. Depending on the placement of your machine, you won't be able to see the amount of water in the reservoir without making a distinct effort to look. Twice I've managed to run the machine out of water. This is in no way a deal breaker and more a reflection of me being inpatient and cautious enough to look before making my cup. Additionally, the machine is much shorter than my other brewers, making brewing directly into my larger travel mug impossible. I just brew into a glass measuring cup and then pour that into my travel mug; that's 10 seconds of my day I can spare :) The machine is also louder than other pod-based coffee makers that I've used, but not by much. When you consider that it is frothing milk for you and what that takes, it's also not a deal-breaker. Do understand that Nespresso is not a big of a household name as the "other" pod-based coffee company on the market. This will vastly limit the availability and options when it comes to purchasing pods. However, with a more limited selection, it actually makes shopping for pods easier. You don't have to get bogged down with the seemingly endless supply of "flavor" options. If you want something specific, by the syrups or flavors and make your concoction. Remember, most coffee houses only have a few different styles of beans that they are brewing. Admittedly, the cost of these pods is slightly higher, but I would also argue that the quality is better and it is still MUCH cheaper than purchasing one of these drinks at a coffee shop. Overall, I've been very happy with this machine. With the attention to detail and built-in cleaning capabilities, I'm confident that it will outlast the other pod brewers that I've had. Additionally, it gives me the ability to have a premium coffee drink without the price tag.

I think this is a great espresso maker. I also think that customers should be informed of what type of coffee it makes. If you like small cups of espresso then you will love this maker. However, if you are used to the larger cups of espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos that you get at coffee shops then you will probably be disappointed. I wanted this to make Cafe Americanos, or Nespresso's version which is called a lungo (okay maybe they are a little different). What I found is that I would need to run the largest lungo size three times just in order to get 2/3 of a cup of coffee. Also, the water in the coffee produced was not very hot. Okay, this is starting to sound like a complaint but it isn't. I just had to reset my expectations and learn how to enjoy the tiny cups of coffee. Following are some of the great functions of this maker. First, it is super fast and easy to use. You can turn the maker on and have a drink in less than a minute. Also, the milk frother is very easy to use. Fill it with milk, keep it in the fridge until needed, and then simply plug into the maker when needed. Second, the coffee is really good. The machine creates the crema in the coffee just like the professional coffee shops. It is full bodied and tastes delicious. Third, it is super easy to maintain and keep clean. The used capsules can be emptied easily and so far the milk frother connection has remained clean. Fourth, the maker has lots of functions. For example, I use the lungo setting 3 times to make a cup of coffee. Unlike other single serve coffee makers, I don't need to rest the maker each time, I can just hit the button three times and it uses the same capsule. Also, the milk can be heated or frothed easily. My children use it to make hot chocolate every night and it takes just like the hot chocolates from the coffee shop. Overall, this is a great, easy to use, compact, well designed coffee machine that I would recommend to those looking for the versatility I mentioned above.

I tried different kinds of pods, but it all taste burnt, I read the prep instructions, ran water though it, with no luck. Returning it soon.

Let me preface this by saying that I was a little nervous about Nespresso since it uses coffee capsules/pods. In my experience, this type of thing (different brands) tends to not give the strongest or tastiest cup of coffee. I'm happy to say that that is definitely not the case with Nespresso. They're not lying, this is ESPRESSO! It packs a punch and is so enjoyable to drink on a cold fall day (although those are a little lacking in California right now!) The thing that I was most worried about turned out to be the thing I love most. The capsules make it so easy to make a delicious drink without having to worry about a lot of perfect measurements and experience. I can make a coffee house quality drink in my own kitchen. Setup and cleanup were both super simple...you can put all of the removable parts in the dishwasher. Overall a great product that produces a pretty great cup of coffee.

Got this for the wife but ended up using it more myself. It is a very sleek and sophisticated looking machine that matches a stainless steel kitchen decor. Not bulky at all and is easy to use. If you have any kind of drink pod machine than you will feel right at home when using it. Simply choose your flavor of espresso and fill the water and fresh milk tank if needed. Push the size drink accordingly and viola, you’ve made an instant high end tasting espresso. Some of the flavors are really intense if you do not drink espresso often and the other end of the flavor spectrum they are really smooth. It took some time for me to perfect the espresso making combined with the milk frother to get the drink to my liking. But with some practice and experimenting, you too can be a fancy at home espresso server.

I really like the convenience of the Nespresso for a quick espresso. You just fill the water chamber, put in a pod, and select the size (one of 3 sizes). The taste is very smooth and the amount of milk mixed with the coffee is perfect. When making Cappuccino's or Lattes however, it doesn't put on as much foamed milk as I like or think there should be. It does steam and froth the milk as it should. I am using whole milk, so I may try skim milk to see if that will produce a better foam. The best features of this machine are the convenience, the easily labeled options on the top of the machine (size, type of coffee drink), and the ease and flavor of the pods (although probably not eco friendly - they do have a recycling bag available that I need to learn more about). The entire machine breaks down and most parts can be put in the dishwasher. It also has self cleaning and descaling. You also rinse the milk tubes after each milk coffee, without having to empty the milk container, which is great. The only complaint I have is the coffee does not come out as hot as I would like it. I have not taken the temperature yet and I will make sure I am letting it heat up enough (the coffee portion only takes 25 seconds and the milk portion 15 seconds). Overall a good cup of espresso with bold enough taste, easy to clean and definitely easy to use.

I’ve owned a Nespresso before and loved it but, this thing takes it to a whole new level. The coffee drinks this machine gives you will make you think you never need to go to a coffee shop again. What’s in the box: In the box you get the machine and an assortment of coffee pods to try out. Nespresso gives you lots of different roasts to let you find your favorite. Setup: It’s super easy, take it out of the box and plug it in. After that you’re ready to make coffee. Use: It’s so easy, I was shocked how Easy and well it Worked. You drop a pot in the chamber, fill up the milk canister and press the coffee drink you want and that’s it. In about a minute you’ll have a high quality coffee drink. The taste: In short incredible. It tastes a thousand times better than competing coffee pod machines. This truly is a high quality coffee maker. Each espresso pod pours with a beautiful crema that is delicious and the milk drinks come out perfectly frothed every time. Getting the pods from the Nespresso app is super easy and they offer free one day delivery on all coffee orders over $50. There are tons of great options for you to explore. I honestly have no complaints about this coffee machine. If you want espresso drinks in a quick and easy way and don’t want to sacrifice taste, get this espresso maker. You won’t be disappointed.

Simply put, it's great. It has a compact design but professional look and feel and you get the ultimate creations without complications or hassle. This is very easy to use. It's also very fun to use because you feel like a pro using it. This is fantastic to set up and show off during a holiday party and you can show people how to use it to make their own drinks as well.

To quote a classic movie: "It makes great foam" And it does. For an all-in-one type of unit, this is remarkably well made, designed, and extremely easy to use. Unpacking and set up is very easy as everything is ready to just slide together after you remove some plastic to protect it in shipping. I would recommend reading the manual as it has tips on sizes and stuff for various types of coffees (espresso, cappuccino, etc). The unit does come with a small pack of 20 coffee pods (the smaller nespresso pods). Once you have it set up, just fill the frother with milk, drop in a pod and away you go. All of your coffee options are across the top in one-button type of selections, add in your steamed frothed milk and you have barista quality coffee with little-to-no effort and way less cost. I definitely will be doing this in place of going to the nearby coffee shop. When you've finished, the used pods are collected in a slide out tray under the drop in spot, and all of the parts you would need to clean are easily slid apart. It really is a no muss no fuss kind of situation. I have nothing negative to say about this unit. If you're a coffee lover and like the idea of making your own creative drinks, then this is the ticket. The ease of use and the style of the unit all speak quality. As a quick side note, one thing I would recommend doing, is placing the milk frother in the fridge when you aren't using it as I doubt you'll use up all the milk in a single go, that way it stays fresh longer. putting it back in the unit takes no time. All in all a great all-in-one coffee maker.

Love this nespresso machine! I was a barista for over 6 years and always wished I had some way to get quality espresso and steamed milk at home without investing in a huge machine. This is a great buy. Milk is steamed well

I have never owned an espresso machine before, so I didn't have any expectations going in for this product. Unboxing and setup was relatively easy and the instructions were easy to understand as well. After making the first cup of coffee and adding the froth, I was surprised at how small the "large" setting for a cup of coffee would be. For a normal size cup, it hardly filled half of the cup. Upon further research, it appears this is the norm. The taste was wonderful and I've enjoyed the flavors that was included with maker. Cleanup is also very easy and the maker itself takes up very little room. I will admit this machine will not be used daily, but it's nice to have on the weekends and on cold winter nights.
