I purchased this thermostat for the wifi capabilities needing to monitor and adjust the temperature on a vacation home. The Nest is exceeding my expectations. Using the additional temperature sensor helps keep the sleeping area of the house at the temperature I want without having to adjust the thermostat. Super easy to install. Set up of your specific needs takes time but well worth taking the time.

Been waiting to get the Nest programmable thermostat once I got the rest of my smart home projects completed. Adding this into the mix was easy and a welcome addition. Really like that I can set it to both heat/cool and it will use the appropriate system on those truly St. Louis weather days that we get in Sept - Dec and Mar/Apr where we can have virtually all seasons in the same week!

Installation was very easy and it is great to able to control it from anywhere.

The nest has amazing features but it has been a rocky startup. We had to send the first one back because it just wouldn’t work. The second was having connectivity issues to Vivint. It seems to be working fine now and we are learning g how to optimize our usage of it, but we notice even though eco mode is off it will randomly shift and the house gets really hot and stuffy. I notice that it knows when me leave the house based on the alarm but it doesn’t seem to turn back on when we are home without us doing something manually. All in all it’s cool.

Bought one for my old house and I was really impressed with how much it reduced our bill, and how convenient using it was. Install wasn't too bad, I would think most people could install on their own. Liked it so much that I bought two for my new house (one for each floor). It's truly a must have.

Love the ability to let it switch automatically and the ability to adjust over my phone if needed. We're home most of the time so we really don't take advantage of the scheduling so much as preferences for who is up and who is asleep and whether they prefer hot or cold. Shows the weather outside on approach as well.
