Installed this on the weekend, very easy to do and just followed the setup on the Nest app. I would recommend checking your wiring compatibility on the Nest website before you purchase it, only takes 2 mins to do. Looking forward to see if the electric bills drop. Only downside is I can't get weather on farsight as it is Geo blocked for the Cayman Islands, only Mexico, US and Canada available.

I bought the next thermostat for my oil boiler. I also have 4 heat pumps all connected to wifi. Wish the nest would work on wifi but maybe on the next generation. Just set it an forget it. It does all the work. And if i forget to turn down or turn up the temp, bam, open the app and done.

This is a great addition to my smart home . This along with my hue lights & ring doorbell . I love controlling my temp from my phone , setting a schedule , even controlling just turning on my fan for circulation. So many options than my previous AC unit controller .

After verifying with the agents that our system was compatible, it was a simple matter of switching out the old thermostat for this one. The only hiccup was getting the Nest app to work (hence the 4 stars). I ended up going to their website and finished setting up there, which then synced the app somehow. Setup of the sensor was very easy as well and we can now monitor two different parts of the house if needed.

This is my third nest purchase and I still love it. I have moved a few times in the last few years, and I always had cheap junk thermostats, si this was a welcome upgrade. Easy to use and program. You will not be disappointed. Also the temp sensor is an added bonus.

My husband and I love the Nest thermostats. We originally purchased one for our main floor thermostat and we were so pleased that we bought this bundle for the upstairs unit and we used the added sensor with the downstairs one, in the master bedroom. Now we can adjust the hallway thermostat to 68 and even if its cooler out there as it tends to be, once the temperature reaches 68 in the bedroom, the unit shuts off. No more waking up in the middle of the night because the bedroom is so hot! And the upstairs thermostat can be adjusted or even locked when teenagers crank it way up or way down! We also love the ease of scheduling throughout the day and week. I'll turn it up (hotter) on winter mornings which forces me out of bed. Better than an alarm clock. We also have it paired with Alexa for easy voice control. My husband loves looking at the app to see usage and trends. Great buy!!

Had my Best for a few weeks now. It was relatively easy to install. The wiring was straight forward. The app was easy. I would like to see more functionality around scheduling. So I set this up just as my family was staying at home from school letting out for summer. Since the thermostat 'learns' based on sensing people, I hope when school starts up it figures out no one is at home during the day. We will see.

Does everything it should from the device itself, but the nest app for remote control won't connect...

The learning aspect sounds great until it takes over and starts jacking your temp up or down when you don’t need it. Like the control from my phone that’s the best thing about it but you can find cheaper models with that feature. Had to have mine replaced before a year of use the WiFi just stoped working.

Can’t believe it took us this long to buy one. It’s great. Definitely a lazy persons dream! only took 10 minutes to install and looks great. Love the display and features it has especially the motion sensor which lights it up and is a good nightlight.

This thermostat is already great heading into the Winter Months - easy to control and turn the heat up or down when away from home. The setup is super fluid with your network, and the hardware end of things make it easy to install without needing a professional!

Unbelievable thermostat, had tried Ecobee previously and changed to this, can’t be any happier now that it comes with an additional sensor which was unavailable previously. That with the eco mode makes this the best on the market as far as I’m concerned!

The nest thermostat is in the family room on the other side of the house from the principal bedroom. With the sensor in the bedroom, you can schedule it to the desired temperature at night and now I'm not hot at night.

I owned a Honeywell smart thermostat in my last house. I wasn't all that impressed with it so I thought I would try the Nest. Needless to say there is no comparison, the Nest was easier to set up, the app is fantastic. No regrets here!!

Easy to install, works as expected, helpful in showing energy savings and room temperatures. Convenient to turn up or down in the middle of the night or anytime you want to adjust the temperature and don’t want to go to the thermostat.

I have a split heat pump. Simply labeled the wires off of my old thermostat and plugged them into the Nest base plate. I use the IOS app to check my system before I head home. If it is too warm I can start to cool it down and have it ready when I arrive. Nest will send usage stats monthly via email. I have not used it long enough to see a drastic change in my utility bill yet.

Love this learning thermostat. Power Bill has definitely went down since buying this. Love the temperature sensor that we put in another room that is always colder than the room the thermostat is in. Highly recommend this

Great Thermostat, easy to install. saved me hundreds of dollars in oil. I put the sensor in my warmest room so I can adjust thermostat as needed. The nest app lets you control it when you are not home.

upgraded from the original to add the temp sensors around the house, with 4 levels it's nice to be able to set the temp on the floor I'm on rather than guessing what I have to set the main at to get the other floor comfortable

So my friend asked few days back about Nest reviews and whether temperature sensor works well in a duplex / multi story home? My answer as an user of more than 1 year is YES, it works as expected. I am actually really happy how much we are saving on electricity by choosing between either central thermostat which is on 1st floor and temperature sensor which is in our master bedroom on 2nd floor. Nest App shows you all sensors and you can choose which sensor it should pick to set target temperature. Now to other aspects; Installation: Easy DIY. I would wish Nest provides some insulation caps and wires as I have little old construction and wire coming out of wall was shorter and had to make extension myself by finding wires and taping it with electrical tape. App/Usage: Intuitive. No clutter on UI and works as expected. Customer support: Awesome. Fast and fixed the issue. But now the reason for 1 star less in review is I had to call once on the onset of cold weather when we were switching from heat to cold. And we had to rewire in order to have heater work. Not the best solution and I would prefer software solution to it. Purchase: Best Buy has best deal and it was smooth process. Overall: Helps us save electricity and time. Very useful.
