Great sound, quality display, ease of use. A nice upgrade from my 1st Gen Home.

I’ll skip to usefulness because other reviews cover features and amazing screen and good sound... VIRTUAL LEARNING! I have one set up at the kiddo’s desk at home. If he has questions and I’m busy working in the home office, he just asks Google! Hey Google, how do you spell Christmas? Hey Google, how do you write a haiku? Hey Google, what does Mount Rushmore look like?

I will say I have been a heavy Amazon Echo system user for years. I avoided Google system because I did not want 2 ecosystems and Amazon integrates with far more products. But since they bought Nest and Nest won't integrate with Echo after August I took the plunge. I did not want to replace thousands of dollars of cam, etc. Well the integration between google its product is very well done. The nest products work incredible well with google home. Very fast response of video. Laos the Nest cam can do more than with echo (like changing HVAC system modes). I thought it would be a pain to have 2 ecosystems but it is actually not. Their display is very nice, very fast. Google Home is much more limited than Amazons echo system as far as integrating with smart home products, but their system does work very well with what it does integrate with. I have a smart TV with google home built in and now I can control everything (nest stuff), through TV itself since it can always listen like any google device. It is all tied together now. Google just needs to expand and integrate with more and more devices. But if you have Nest products this integrates extremely well.

We didn’t realize what all it would do before we received it. It has been fun to use.

Since it can usually be had for around $80 or less, this device would be amazing as a smart digital photo frame and speaker alone. Add to those two functions that you can control virtually all of your smart devices and cast from youtube tv, youtube, and other services and it's an incredible value. For privacy conscious, I would say that no camera is a bonus and not a missing feature.

Well, I treated myself to the Nest 10" and am loving it. I got the Nest 7" (Charcoal) for my son and, therefore, had to get one for his sister (she wanted Chalk). She loves it as much as we love ours. And like my son, it helps her get up on time because they both relied only on smartphones for alarms. These are cool gadgets and look and sound great, too.

I'd been holding off on Google's version of Alexa products because frankly (and this may sound silly), saying "Hey Google" or "Ok Google" sounded so much less appealing than calling the name "Alexa" and pretending you were talking to a human instead of a machine. I already have an Alexa product but decided to get this Google device for someone for their bedroom because it lacked a camera and had better integration with the nest doorbell. Turns out this was a pretty good purchase. Saying "Ok Google" is fine. Not as personal as saying Alexa or Cortana, but we appreciate the fact that you can change the voice to male. Also, google does a good job of being able to distinguish voices so google can provide you with more accurate information given it will understand the context of who's asking. There are some concerns with having a screen and close integration with your other google services such that information you want to be kept private could potentially be broadcast while others are in the room, but all in all this was a great purchase ... especially during the holiday shopping season when they were discounted. If you are on the fence, I recommend.

Took my daughter a few days to really open as wasn't really thrilled when she got it at christmas. After she opened it though, she set up on her own with no problems or asking brother (age 21) or me (age old). Ok Google, set alarm, play music, look up artists, etc. Hear it all the time playing in her room now. Been non stop since about 12/29. I'm sure as we add items, she'll love even more, but as of today....A+++

If you are looking for a small quality smart display for, let’s say, the bathroom, this is it. Perfect for listening to your local radio station (via TuneIn, iHeart, Radio.com) while getting ready for work. If you have YouTube TV, and need to catch the news before heading out, or see who’s ringing the doorbell, great price, great quality, easy to use, with great sound.

I have both Echo Show and Google Home hub. In many cases, the home hub replicates what the Echo does. I had issues connecting because my smart phone was logged into a different account than my smart home devices so it kept complaining about joining my Google Wifi. Once I fixed that, it was fine. It is smarter than Echo show in that you add smart plugs and devices and since the Home Hub is in that room, it uses that context to switch things on/off. Mine is in my bedroom so I just say left (nightstand) light and it knows just by saying "left". It's pretty common knowledge from other reviews that Google Home can ask Google for info and you will get better answers than asking an Echo Show. So, I use Echo to control main level devices, play music, keep my notifications and Google to ask "obscure" questions to. Plus, my LG TV works better with Google. Bottom line - only by it on sale but this guy is fast and smart!

Love this. It works like the google disc but with a visual screen. I have it set to show my pictures from google and the weather. Very happy with it. Fun to see memories on the device. I can ask for a recipe and it pops up. Very handy for my kitchen.This is the lower model but I love how it works. Got it at a vreat price.

I love the nest hub, it works perfectly, has a good size and resolution. It is easy to manage, specially with YouTube that you may ask directly for anything. When it is dark it discreetly goes dark too and never bothers. Very smart and beautiful. Communicates with my phone like cooking with gas! Immediately!

Google Assistant is the best assistant out there and I have tried Siri and Alexa - including many Alexa products. The display is great, although starting to feel a little slow if you're wanting to interact with it. I have displays throughout my house, it's great for photos and interactive display when requesting information via voice commands.

I love google products and this is no different. Google is more conversation based not phrase based like Alexa. Higher quality too. The screen is nice! Take the plastic off the screen, instead of leaving it and it looks much better! Speakers are clear and the touch screen is very responsive. Highly recommend and I can’t wait till the near version comes out! (It’s bigger, and better)

I hooked it up about a week ago and I am still learning everything it can do. As of right now I have asked it questions and listened to music. I love the screen that you can watch the things you ask. My sons bought this for me for Christmas and I asked for the other one but they spent the extra money and I am glad they did because the one I asked for does not have the vision screen on it I think.

This is a great device that gives you a lot of value. It is compact, but has a nice screen size, quality speaker and good microphone. You can do a multitude of things. Watch video, listen to music, set alarms, reminders, timers, ask questions...etc and have access to Google Home. I feel like everyone would find this useful and fun.

I use my Google Home Hub every single day, multiple times a day. I already had a Google Assistant, but the screen makes everything so much better. It interfaces with my Google Play Music account and so I can listen to music while it shows the lyrics. I can also look up recipes that display on the screen, and watch YouTube videos. I can even cast Netflix to it. I wish I had one of these at work!

Love this device, probably the best smart home device made so far! The ability to use my smart albums in Google photos is great so I just get pictures of the kids. Also works great with the nest cameras and doorbell, so nice to have it come up automatically on the screen! Not to mention the ability to get answers to your questions actually works unilke my old Alexa junk! This is a no brainier!

Great size for night stand or kitchen area. Has amazing sound quality but would like it to have a camera

I'm putting this in all rooms of my house so I can see the front door via Nest Hello. Other times, it's used as a nice looking picture frame. It does have decent sound quality, so I'll be replacing my Google Home Mini with it as well. It works as a chromecast display device, so you can play youtube videos on it. For the paranoid - I also like that this device doesn't have a camera. Cons: Netflix won't work on it yet. And youtube app's navigation is almost non-existent if you want to use it without a phone.
